Just like the night before, you had slept wonderfully, even with Paimon snoring in your ear. You had immediately thanked Noelle for how perfectly she had set the sheets up to which she responded with a pleased smile.

After breakfast, you, Aether, and Paimon made your way to the plaza only to find the one and only outrider tapping her foot against the ground and looking over the area. "Hi, Amber!" Paimon called obnoxiously, causing the brunette to turn around.

She sent your group a happy grin. "Hey, guys! I've been looking for you everywhere! How's that wind glider I gave you last time, Aether?" The blonde shrugged nonchalantly. "Pretty good." He replied easily. "But sometimes I keep getting carried away and gliding too high."

The girl placed her hands on her hips and laughed. "Seems like it's really growing on you! But then again, you don't have a gliding license, do you?" She asked with a raised eyebrow and hard look. You immediately started to sweat.

Paimon tilted her head. "A gliding license? Hmm... What's that?" She asked curiously. Amber rolled her eyes. "Isn't it obvious? You gotta have a gliding license to legally glide in Mondstadt." The red bowed girl explained.

"Oh... but Aether and Paimon have been gliding for ages now. This is the first we've heard about it!" The pixie argued. Amber deadpanned at her. "Yeah, you've been gliding all over the place... Everyone's noticed!" She shot back.

Touching her fingers together, Paimon let out a sheepish smile. "Eh-he. Sooo... You came looking for us because you wanna give us a gliding license?" She asked innocently with an underlying of hopefulness.

Amber was quick to shake her head. "No way! The Knights of Favonius have strict rules. You need to pass an exam, and only then will the Knights issue your license. Today I'm here as an examiner, to oversee Aether's official gliding exam!" She looked towards you with a grin. "Y/N should have her's already, right?"

You blinked. "I... uh, lost mine." You cringed out slowly. That was a lie. You never had one to begin with, but she didn't need to know that. "So you've been flying all this time without a license?!" The brunette shrieked. You grimaced.

Tsking, the girl shook her head in disappointment. "Well then, I guess I'll be your examiner, too. I gave you your wind glider and was the first to meet you guys, so this is my responsibility — at least, that's what Acting Grand Master Jean would say."

Deflating in midair, Paimon let out a mighty groan of annoyance. "An exam! What a pain in the butt. Then again, since Amber is the examiner..." She began with a plotting look. "Maybe you can cut me some slack?" Aether finished sheepishly.

The female only glared at the two. "No with a capital N-O! Do not challenge the authority of examiner Amber!" She shouted while pointing an angered finger at the two of them. "It's fine. We can do this." You said surely, more so trying to convince yourself.

"That's the spirit!" Amber said excitedly, "I mean... The whole city saw how well you flew the day that Stormterror attacked, so I'm sure you'll have no problems! But we do need to respect the rules and glide properly." The girl then reached behind her to pull out a rather beefy looking book.

"Here. Take this gliding manual. No need to memorize it, just be familiar with everything in there. For example: only one person per wind glider, no carrying anything over the set weight limit, no taking off using an Anemo Slime, and so on and so forth." You took it with a grimace. Surely there couldn't be this many rules, right?

Amber continued. "Anyway, be sure to read it, okay? I had to read a load of big, thick books too when Lisa was teaching me magic..." Paimon's eyes bulged from her head. "Wow, that's a big old book... Paimon thinks we best get started." She muttered begrudgingly.
