Starsnatch Cliff was an especially beautiful view just before sunset. The sun glimmering off the vast blue ocean and the sky melting together in pinks, purples, and blues like an oil pastel painting. You carefully peeked over the side, looking to the direction where you and Aether had first fished out Paimon. You grinned a bit. Ah... fond memories.
"Everyone is finally here," Diluc said with a sigh of relief, ready to finish this and restore the peace in Mondstadt. Paimon ignored him, floating up to your side to look down on below. "What a view..." She awed out in amazement. Venti grinned at her words. "Lovely for a fated reunion, isn't it? Well, we must be prepared for a fight." He added on cautiously.
Jean readied her stance into a stiff position, ready to attack at moment's notice. "Regardless of the outcome, things finally seem to be taking a turn for the better. Mondstadt has really been going through so much recently..." She trailed off with a small frown on her face.
The redhead scoffed, crossing his arms and rolling his eyes in the process. "Huh! In the end, the solution to our problem was as simple as a traveler, a hummingbird girl, and a song," he commented in a snarky tone before forcing out, "I suppose the Knights of Favonius may have played a part in it too..."
Venti only rolled his eyes dramatically. "Oh, we get it, Master Diluc..." He suddenly straightened his back and held his arms out with a determined look. "Everyone, please step aside!" The bard announced boldly as he approached the cliff. "I, the best wandering bard of the mortal world, shall begin my performance with the Holy Lyre."
Upon getting to the ledge, he summoned the Holy Lyre and began plucking its strings with complete focus. A calm, whimsical melody filled the air as a gentle breeze brushed past you. You felt your feather collection attached to your Vision brush against your thigh and slowly reached for it, carefully grasping it in your hand.
Then, without warning, it shined a bright turquoise and let off a burst of energy causing you to drop it in surprise, the item falling soundly back into place. Almost instantly the air pressure increased and as you looked up to see how Venti was, you were nearly blown back from Dvalin's sudden incline up the cliff's edge. You, Aether, and Paimon quickly grouped about together in an attempt to keep your footing (or floating in Paimon's case).
A low, almost growling voice spoke to the unfazed Venti in a solemn tone. "You have come... What has been done cannot be undone..." The dragon said, gently flapping his wings to keep in place. Your eyes widened at his sheer size. You knew he was big, but looking at him from afar to up close... it was almost dizzying.
Venti remained steadfast, staring one of the four winds right in the eyes. "If so, then why do I see sadness in your eyes? Sadness that speaks of your yearning for this song..." The bard said gently as he stepped closer to the mighty dragon. Dvalin narrowed his eyes. "Grr..."
Jean furrowed her eyebrows and brought a hand to her chin. "They are... communicating... Huh?" A small noise broke her out of her thoughts only for a sudden blast of bright blue magic to fly right at Venti. Unable to act in time, the bard was unable to dodge and ended up with the Holy Lyre flying out of his grasp and broken onto the ground.
"Venti!" You yelled in concern as you watched him stumble back from the hit. "No! Tone-Deaf Bard!" Paimon yelled as she floated forwards to him with the rest of you in tow. You quickly grasped his shoulder and looked to where the beam hit him in worry. "Cryo magic?" You mumbled in confusion as the rest of the group jump in front of him.
Before anyone could say something else, a disoriented voiced echoed throughout the air accompanied by a sudden chill. "Do not be fooled by him, dear dragon... He left you to rot alone... Now he attempts to deceive you once more..." Everyone froze in shock at the appearance of the a Cyro Mage that lay hidden on Dvalin's back.
