"This is our final call for the day." Lisa said as she presented a small flower stand with a girl standing in front of it. As you approached, she looked up, only noticing you and Aether at first. "Welcome...! Uh... c–couples are our specialty! Let me know what you'd like and I'll wrap them up nicely for you." She said shyly.
You and Aether flushed, glancing at each other from the corner of your eyes. Paimon spat. "Ugh! Again with this date stuff." She complained. Lisa giggled. "Ah yes... Now which book was it that has the line, "a date without flowers is a date without romance?"
You suddenly blinked, eyes lighting up in realization. "Oh..." You quickly turned towards the blonde. "Aether, would you like some flowers?" You asked bluntly. "A-AH! W-Well, I think M-Miss Lisa wanted some actually." You nodded. "Ah... Right."
Paimon groaned loudly. "Gee, Aether, way to pass up your chance!" The little fairy complained. "H-Huh?" Aether babbled. Lisa giggled. "Well, I'd never pass up the chance to get some flowers. Thank you, my cute birdie." She cooed.
You put your hands on your hips and nodded to yourself. "Right then. Let's do it." You confidently before looking to the florist in front of you. Donna, you believe her name was.
"Some flowers for Miss Lisa? What would you like?" She asked. You looked over the flowers before you. "What about the dandelions? They're really beautiful and strong. Some birds eat them, y'know, the seeds. And use the fluff as nesting material." You spout out.
Donna smiled politely. "Dandelions are one of our classics, and a personal favorite of Miss Flora, the shop owner." Huh, fitting name. "I know what you're thinking: Most flower shops don't sell dandelions, they're a nuisance to care for... Perhaps Miss Flora likes the sense of floating away to a faraway land that the dandelion evokes? Come to think of it, Miss Flora herself gives people the same impression." She pondered while tapping her chin.
You moved on to a bright blue on. "How about the Mist Flower?" You asked. Donna tilted her head. "Mist Flowers? Over there in the corner... but don't touch them with your bare hands. You'll get frostbite. But do you really want them? You're sure? What an unusual choice..."
Simply shrugging, you grinned. "I think their pretty, if not a little mysterious. A lot of flowers just die off in the winter. This handsome guy's persistent." Aether frowned when you had called a flower of all things handsome before you did him.
Donna thought this over. "I see. It's just that Lisa seems to use Electro quite a lot. Things could get a little bit dangerous..." She muttered. "Good point. Hmm... do you have any suggestions?" You asked.
The girl blinked in surprise. "You want my help? I don't know if I have the best taste in flowers... Why don't you go ask Miss Flora, the shop owner?" She suddenly perked up. "Oh. But I couldn't help but notice the flower on Miss Lisa's hat though – I think it's a Rose."
You nodded seriously. "Yes, but they're usually red like the ones here. Thrushes, redwings, and blackbirds eat the rose hips while some finches like the green and gold ones peck the seeds inside of the hips." You explained in a vivid manner. Donna deadpanned and blinked. "A-Ah. Right. These roses were bought from a traveling merchant a few days ago. Miss Flora thought maybe someone would like them... This is the only bunch." You smiled gently. "Mm... they are pretty rare around here. But the red is such a beautiful color and it represents passion. Plus they like birds, so that's a plus. Or... birds like them?"
Then you looked over to another vase of pretty white flowers. "And you have Cecilia flowers, too." You muttered. "Ah, the Cecilia. This flower is a lot of effort to care for. I hope that I've been doing it right, otherwise they won't last long. But part of the Cecilia's charm is how precious and fragile each one is..."
