(Y/N)'s POV

The weekend finally rolled in after a long week. Tests, essays, and loudness galore filled my hours from 8 to 5 from Monday to Friday. I leisurely lounged on my bed, scrolling through my phone.

A notification banner slowly appeared on the top of my screen. It's a text from Edward. The text asked me if I wanted to come over for practice. I almost forgot that we agreed to it.

Sitting up, I tapped on the notification to go to it. My fingers hovered for a brief second over the keys. "Sure, should we meet at yours or would you prefer some other way?" I pressed send and waited on him.

It took almost no time at all. He gave an address to somewhere I don't think I have ever been to. Is that his address? I should probably ask. "Is this your address?"

"Yes."  He simply responded.

"Alright, I'll be there in a little bit." I tucked my phone in my pocket before sliding off my bed. My violin sat in its case on my desk, ready from my trip, already.

I raced out the door with my violin and sheet music in tow. Cool air hit me quickly, but not as bad as in past months. Frost had hardly been on the ground in a week or so, and I could trade my winter jacket for a thinner coat.

Gently putting the string instrument in my passenger seat, I started my drive with GPS' help. The views weren't easy to not enjoy on my quiet drive.

Trees lined the sides of the road and mountains can be seen from far away.  Even the usually cloudy sky looked nice beyond being the same old sky, I see day in and day out.

A pretty impressive house slowly came into view to my left side. That must be it. It had many windows, It's rather open.

I pulled into the driveway. The walk up to the house didn't take up too much time.  Forest air filled my lungs and smelled of pine. Edward opened the door before I even made it all the way up the steps.

"Hey, I'm here for practice." I passed a small smile, the drive put me in a relaxed mood.

"Hey... Come in." He stepped aside for me to pass through.

"I didn't expect your house to be so open. Yet again I never thought I would see it." I took in the whole space while following him along. It hardly looked lived-in, they must really like to keep it clean here.

"What did you expect? A castle with gold floors?" He teased me as we passed through the living room that had the piano. "My family wanted to see you before we started practice." He answered before I could raise any brows.

"Well, not a golden floor." I followed close behind him.

"Not a golden floor," He mumbled under his breath, amused. We passed through a doorframe into a kitchen.

Most of his family worked on cooking something. Rosalie stood there holding a bowl with chopped vegetables, not at all amused about being there. Emmett had a cutting block in front of him, chopping up carrots.

Alice or Jasper weren't in the picture, somewhere I don't know about. Who I assume is his dad had his back turned to something.

"(Y/N), I heard you were coming. We're making some food for you." A woman with long dark hair let go of the grater she had been using to come talk to me. A welcoming smile graced her face as soon as she saw me.

"Oh, that's sweet of you. Thank you." I smiled with her.

"This is my mother, Esme. And that's Carlisle, my father." Edward introduced me to his parents nonchalantly, leaning against the wall.

"It's nice to meet you, Mrs. Cullen. And you too Mr. Cullen." I greeted the two. I didn't expect them to put this much effort into meeting me.

Rosalie loudly placed the bowl onto the table before, bumping shoulders with me as she passed me. It startled me when she angrily left the room.

"Is she okay?" I whispered to Edward as I heard the front door slam.

"She'll be fine. Don't worry about it." Edward whispered back.

"There you are!" A thump from the balcony caught my attention on Alice standing there. Jasper silently followed close behind from the thick tree branch next to the balcony.

"Oh, it's nice to see you." Alice quickly wrapped her arms around me in a hug. "We're going to be best friends, I can see it."

"Thanks, it's nice to see you too." I hesitated for a short moment before hugging her too. A little awkward because my violin and sheet music are still in my hands.

"You smell nice too-"

"Alright, that's enough." Edward stepped in, breaking me away from her.

"It's a pleasure to meet you." Jasper seemed to strain to say. His hands were behind his back and he stood a respectable distance away.

"It's okay, Jasper. No need to be shy." Alice walked back over to him, cuddling into his side.

"Well, you now have seen them. Let's go, (Y/N)." Edward went back to the living room.

"Okay, it was nice to meet you all." I flashed a quick smile before rushing after him.

He took his seat at his piano and I quickly set up my things near him.

"Alright, ready?" My chin rested on the violin's chinrest and my bow sat ready on the strings.

"Yep," He straightened up.

We played in perfect harmony to the first song. My eyebrows fixed together, focusing on the notes before me. The world around me seemed to fade out of my attention as I played each note. This is the one song I could say I knew with confidence by now.

Each note fell into place like a song I knew for years. Slow and perfectly placed notes make a romantic slow song for all the couples to dance to.
