Edward's POV

I sat in my room all alone. (Y/N) took what I had to say so well. It took so much debating if I should tell them about it, who I am. But Alice's vision won the debate I had in my mind.

They thought of me more than a monster, like a little bird just like the rest of them. It felt...interesting to be viewed that way and they know.

It was a relief that they accepted me as a vampire. I needed to finally be out with it, they were catching on, a smart little lamb.

I could hear from Bella all the little steps they both were taking to find out more. She wanted something she couldn't have. My love has been reserved for someone else. She wanted my love and knowledge of what I am, but I won't give her any.

(Y/N) had a bit of an upper hand. They knew that I could read thoughts, but never told Bella. Would they tell Bella about being a vampire? I wouldn't know. She might find out on her own.

She had her magnifying glass pressed down on me, analyzing every detail. But I wouldn't tell her much of anything. Not talking to her unless necessary for Biology class.

I have seen (Y/N)'s normal days. They haven't pressed on the issue that much, only with Bella did they investigate. It was more that I had an eye on them than the opposite.

I enjoy seeing them at rest, the peace that they have. Like the world had no weight on their shoulders, completely relaxed. Breathing in the night air that monsters and nocturnals hunted in with no stress.

Newspaper sat stacked on the floor next to my chair. It all had the same front page. Five men had been horribly disfigured. Each had horrific dismemberment to their poor obnoxious bodies. No one could recognize the John Doe's. I could.

That hunt had taken a different direction. I had to show great restraint but it took a long while for them to be found, in another state.

It won't be long before it becomes a cold case. No one would know any of it. Never brought up again. Pests of humanity they were. No one will have to be worried about them.

The night rolled around the corner. The clock read the time they would have fallen asleep. Approaching the glass door, I saw the stars in the cloudy sky.

Frozen in my place, my hand on the glass door to the outside. I could hear it.

Loud footfalls came through the house. Doors slammed leading up to mine. I could hear the angry storm brewing in her head. Rosalie busted into my room.

If looks could kill, I would have been disintegrated at this point. Anger filled her eyes and was just a warning for what was to come.

"You told them! Don't you know how dangerous that is?" She slammed the door shut. The part that was composed about it had been the fact that she didn't break the door in the process.

"Yes, I know the risks!" I have taken so many for (Y/N). I knew that I tipped dangerously close to over the line, but I kept doing it.

"This could hurt the family, Edward." She slowly said as if it would make me understand better like I'm an ignorant child. I did understand, but I could hardly care.

I'm tittering on the line, but it's (Y/N). They didn't think of me as a monster. I'm more than that to them.

"I know, I care about them" I shifted on my feet, "please." I stopped her before she could talk again. I took steps away from her.

"Alice will know if there is any danger. I took the risk knowing they won't tell." I reassured her about it all. "It'll be fine, Rosalie." I tried to calm her down using Alice's visions as a testament.

It didn't seem to phase her much. Her thoughts were still angry like one of those dogs. She fumed silently for a moment or two, her eyes glaring.

"If they know, and keep it a secret. What life will they have?" She tried to have me give in to guilt.

She didn't have a choice about becoming a vampire in order to keep her alive. Jealousy ran deep for those who could have all the things she wanted in life. Old age, children, and the like were out of touch for her now.

"That won't happen." I stepped close. "They don't need to be one of us!" I knew what she implied. No one had to know that they did know.

"The Volturi will find out about them! It will be death or vampire!" She argued back in an instant.

"They won't know about them. We could keep it a secret."

We argued for hours on end. The daylight slowly shines through to illuminate my room with natural light when it was once dark.

She could no longer argue, her hands clenched tight in fists. A glare that could pierce me for a long time, eons. Before storming out of my room to hers. I could hear her thoughts from here.

She didn't exactly approve of my decisions, but she accepted they were unshakable. (Y/N) is part of my life, the world to me.

She had accepted that (Y/N) would be around but still didn't approve. She will have to just simmer in the anger and jealousy.

Night had left the sky in the heated fight. A chance to see their peaceful rest now lost. School is another day to go through, mingling with those purgatory prisoners.

Practice would be better. They have come a long way with the practices since we started. It had been mere fate that we met at all. Death didn't seem all too close anymore.

Everything will be just fine for them and me. No risks for performing at the dance.
