(Y/N)'s POV

The start of the week rolled around fairly quickly. Bella had parked her car around the middle in those parking spots. She leaned up against the side of her truck.

I walked over to her truck and tapped her shoulder to get her attention from her book and the music in her earbuds. "Hey, Bella." I softly smiled. "You remember the homework we got in bio?" My eyes surveyed around us.

Everything still had its bluish-grey color from the cloudy sky. Edward stood outside his fancy car with Alice and Jasper, his eyes caught somewhere in our direction.

"Yeah, I think I have it..." She popped open her truck to riffle through her bag in the seat. A paper fell from the pile growing in her hands.

"I'll get it." I crouched down to quickly pluck it off the cold pavement.

Tires screeching pulled my attention away to see Tyler's van rapidly approaching.

A scream left me and felt like my soul left my body to never come back. "Tyler!" I watched his frantic hands trying to steer only to make the car swerve from side to side. His eyes opened wide as he tried to gain control.

My eyes squeezed shut, expecting the worst, pressing back against the truck to take as little space as possible. The worst never came to me and Bella. A rush of wind, but that's all.

Curiosity got the better of me, opening my eyes to see Edward. My heart could hardly be calmed down. His hand made a large dent into the other car like there wasn't much to it.

Shouts filled my ears of concerned passersby. Someone was going to call an ambulance and many worried "Are you okay?" filled the small space.

Eric had climbed over the point where Tyler's van and Bella's truck met. He had to have been stunned because he just stared like the rest of the crowd. Bella had been slightly pushed into her truck more, crumpled into her passenger seat.

Tyler's head rested against his steering wheel from what I can see. My ears ringed, hyperventilating in the cold air from the fear. I don't think anything is wrong with me from what I could tell.

How did Edwad get here so fast? I squinted at him with deep scrutiny like it would help me figure it out. How did he get here and stop Tyler's van? He should be crushed or badly hurt like Bella and I should be. This is so much to wrap my head around in such little time.

"How did you?" The words stumbled out of my mouth and he didn't answer at all. He simply rose to his feet and slipped through the crowd without a word.

I dropped further from my crouched position to sit on the cold ground. Thankful to be alive at this point more than anything. "Is Tyler okay? Bella, are you?" Reality slowly came back to me, like my heart did.

"Yeah...I'm okay." She slowly adjusted to sit normally.

"Here," I passed her the paper I had forgotten that I had in my hand. It had gotten crumbled a bit in my hand. "We need to check on Tyler."

I slowly got up with the help of Bella's truck. Each step felt like I was on uneven ground, wobbling towards his door. "Tyler?" I pulled on his door for it to not open. Of course, it didn't, he was just driving it.

I knocked on the cool glass, but he didn't respond. "He's unconscious. Did someone call?" I finally looked at the group. One had separated from the crowd on their phone, swaying from side to side anxiously calling.

"Yeah, she is." Eric pointed his thumb back at the girl. "Are you fine?"

"Uh.." I looked over myself. "I think so." Not a single scratch had been in sight, and I didn't feel any pain. "Besides getting spooked pretty good, I think so."

The girl on the phone from before came over, her hand covering up her phone, to talk to us. "They said they'll be here in a minute." She wandered back to the previous spot after telling us that.

"I think you guys should wait for the ambulance." Eric gave each of us a concerned look. "You probably have shock or something."

"Yeah, that might be a good idea." My eyes swept over Tyler and then Bella. "We probably don't feel anything from adrenaline, right?"

Bella ran a hand through her hair. "Yeah, probably." Sirens blared from the distance, slowly getting closer.

The ambulance got parked close by and two EMTs came rushing out of the back with bags of equipment. Their shoes audibly smacked the pavement below in their rush to our side.

"Who's hurt?" A man probably in his mid-40s came between the collision,  whipping his head from side to side.

"He is." I pointed to an unconscious Tyler in his van. "We can't get in." I slowly moved toward Eric to get out of the EMT's way.

He came over to the door, unlocking it with help from the other. They looked over him, tapping his shoulder. "Sir! Are you okay? Sir!" He tried to get him to respond.

My fingers crossed and my breath held. Just hoping that Tyler will be okay and would be able to walk away from this.

"He has a pulse and he's breathing." He said to the other over his shoulder.

I let my breath go, my hand coming up to rest over my fast-beating heart. His head slowly came up with the help of the two to lean back against his headrest.

A small gash trickled small drips of blood down his forehead. "Let's patch him up and bring him to the hospital."  He told the other. The other simply nodded and rushed off to get the stretcher.

"He will be okay, right?" I peeked over his van's door at the man sifting through his bag.

"Yeah, he should be."
