"We need to go." Edward watched as they departed. He ushered me along to his car.

"Who were they?" Bella tried to ask Edward. He didn't have to argue with me at all to agree with him. My hand pulled on Bella's wrist so she could follow along.

I wanted to know who those three were too. I only caught two of the names, James and Victoria. James looks like he will be in plenty of trouble for us. My heart plummeted and the rain's chill felt like it intensified.

"They're nomad vampires. They drink human blood." His hold grew firmer with that thought spoken into words.

Thunder roared and rain came down in heavy drops. Shivering from the rain and wind, he rushed me into the car.

"Uh," I didn't know where to keep my eyes. Looking forward and back, trying to watch every last thing. "What's the plan? What do we do from here?"

"We'll figure it out when we get to the house." His gaze hardened on the road, hands holding tightly to the wheel.

"Okay," My mind ran a mile in seconds. Nothing exactly coherent in the panic of this all. Panic rises with each bump in the road or loud sound.

Like the loud thunk over our heads, sending my heart into the solar system. "What was that?" My hands quickly gripped the car as if I would get ripped from it.

"It's just Emmett." He slowly pulled into their road to home. I gathered my thoughts into some form of a string of coherency as best as I could.

We all gathered in the garage. Rosalie sat on a table inside. Everyone stood or paced. Stress weighed down on us all.

"Okay, what are we going to do?" I couldn't stay still, dread filled my veins. It felt like time ticked down to the worst possible event.

"We need to make distance. Esme and Rosalie need to run to spread Bella and your scent." Carlisle stepped forward. He took one of Bella's coats that she had left in the car, having the coat out to Rosalie.

"What is she to me? I'd help (Y/N) before I would help her." She eyed the coat with disgust before accepting my coat from Edward.

Esme and Rosalie slipped on a coat from each of us. My coat ended at her mid-thigh, making her look a bit smaller.

"I think Bella should go be with Jacob." I looked back at her. "He would be able to keep you safe." She gave a small nod in agreement.

"Alice and Jasper, you take her to Jacob." Carlisle agreed with my little plan. Alice took hold of one of her arms, leading her to their car and quickly leaving.

"You'll come with me." Edward came to me, stopping close, and grabbing my arm. He ushered me back into his car.

"Where would we go?" I watched him start the car, reversing into the driveway.

Rosalie and Esme sprinted out of the house into the forest. Gone, out of sight to work on spreading scents.

"A hotel far away." He focused closely on the road. "First, you need to pack some things. We'll be gone for a while."

"I don't need my things, Edward. I could get my blood sucked out of me here. I think I can make do without that stuff!" I looked at him as if he had grown another head before me. My voice rose along with my claim.

Edward drove past my house after my refusal. I couldn't find any of my things more important right now. I couldn't even imagine the pain of being drained of all my blood.

Hours went by annoyingly slow. They felt like days or even weeks. Fear wouldn't let go of me for a second, holding me as a prisoner. Tears welled up in my eyes at the idea of dying.

What would I do? My world had unknowingly turned upside down just because I said yes to Mr. Scott. When I joined Bella to research Edward's odd behavior. Poking the bear to stay hanging out with Edward.

"We're here." Edward came around and pulled my door open. He guided me into the hotel, holding me close as he booked a room. One that sat floors up from the ground.

Our room looked extravagant and wonderful. It oozed with luxury and expense. Many dark browns and creme accents. Not a speck of dust or grime, everything is in top condition.

Tiredness gnawed at my bones, but fear told me to stay awake. Paranoia squeezing my whole body in a death grip. Slowly shuffling to sit down on the nice king-sized bed, slipping my shoes off.

Edward followed close behind. "You can rest if you need to. You look tired. I'm here don't worry." His voice sounded like a lullaby, soothing me.

My eyes slowly closed, leaving my stress behind with a sliver of hope. A string of it, hair-thin with large scissors close to cutting it in two.

Slowly coming back from my slumber. Shower water raining down from behind the bathroom door. My head rolled to the side to see Edward gone.

"Edward?" I tried to call out to him, slowly lifting off the warm mattress. Blankets tangled amongst my legs. He must not have heard me as the shower water kept going.

The cold floor shocked me as my feet touched the hardwood. My feet slowly slid to the balcony door. The rain beat against the window, splashing on the wet balcony floor.

It must have been hours of this raging storm. Hands on the cool glass watching the storm swirling on.  Fear stuck quickly like a lightning strike.

James dropped in front of my face on the other side of the door. His face held onto a sinister smile like a Cheshire cat. My feet slowly backed up until the back of my legs met the bed.

He slung the door open, in front of me dangerously close. Fangs as sharp as a shark's, grabbing a hold of me, pulling me off the balcony.

He took me into the woods, slamming me into a thick tree. My back seared with pain, waking me better than coffee could. His hands on me again.

His fingers dug into my skin. It broke skin as he dragged me. Mud soaked my shirt. Letting go of me to hit a rock. Pain bloomed in my ribs.

I needed to get up. It's my only chance to live. The uneven and soft ground made it hard to get free. Like quicksand, the mud held me down.

"Oh, you're fighting back?" He sneered at my attempt. Bringing me down with words along with his actions. Pain and mud holding me back.

On my feet, I tried to pick up my feet to get away. Running is far from what I had down more of quick stumbling. Rain pelleted down on me causing my back pain to worsen with each drop.

James stopped me. My chin hit the mud. Teeth gritting together in pain. His weight holding me down. A sharp pain shot through my body.

Eyes shot wide. Everything was too much to take in. Pain in my right shoulder made me shout. A blood-crudling scream as he sank his teeth deep. Blood drained from my body in greedy sips.

I felt so tired and weak. My eyes could hardly stay open. I need to stay awake. One blink and then a second. A figure stood far back shrouded in the dark. Cold mud under my body.

I couldn't keep it up anymore. My eyes closed. White hot Pain slowly slipping far from my reality. This is it. I'm done.

Beeping filled my ears. My eyes felt weighted down by lead, hard to open. "Edward?"
