Alice's POV

I sat amongst the trees just outside of the house and leaned against Jasper. Our silence together held many words through our actions. My mind wandered for long periods of time until it stumbled upon a vision.

I saw them, (Y/N) with Edward. Many people around dancing to soft music from somewhere. They walked together, led by Edward to a beautifully lit gazebo.

They wore a wonderful outfit that fit them just right for the occasion. Edward led them to the center and slowly began to dance with them.

They whispered a sweet little confession to each other. A confession that led to a romance together. It's like nothing else out there matters to the two. Perfectly dancing to the song like they were meant to for years.

Slowly fading back to the view of tall dark green trees. I didn't notice that I sat up, Jasper's hands finding my shoulders.

"What did you see, Alice?" He gently led me back to lay against him.

"I saw Edward getting that human he likes. I think it could happen, with a little help." My hand swayed in the air.

"How so?"

"I'll just spend some time with the human and talk to them." I looked up until I just saw his face. "After school, don't wait up for me."  I gave him a gentle kiss.

(Y/N)'s POV

"

Hey, (Y/N)!" I heard the familiar chirp of Alice's voice and her quick steps to meet my side.

"Oh, hey...Alice." I couldn't be more surprised that she approached me here at school.

"I wanted to ask if you would like to hang out with me after school." She watched for my reaction with expectant eyes, a smile blooming.

"Sure, why all of a sudden did you want to hang out with me?"

"I wanted to get to know you better." She seemed overjoyed by me agreeing to hang out with her. "I'll wait for you after your practice." After that, she hurried off down a hall up ahead to the right.

I gave a curious glance that way and saw her rush off to hug Jasper at the end. He stood a couple of steps or so in front of a classroom door. Light from the room spilled out on the hall floor at his feet.

They both were known for being the odd ones of the Cullen bunch, so I couldn't know how much to truly expect. But I think inviting me to hang out with everybody in school, might just take the cake.

I'll have to wait and see what that is about after practice. And I didn't know if I should be scared or not about it. In due time, I find out what it's all about. It'll be stuck in my head for the next three hours.

"Very good, you two! Now, you can pack up and go, take care!" Mr. Scott let us go. I quickly packed my things up and went out the door before Edward could say a thing.

Curiosity had nagged at my mind for the past hours, and I had many questions. What is a hang-out with Alice like? What would we do? Why are we of all people?

"You're all done?" She turned to me. She had been waiting all this time, staring into space on the sidewalk.

"Yeah, I just finished."

"Cool, let's go hang out at a cafe. I saw this one in town that looked nice." She spun on her heel and walked off to her car.

"Okay, I'll follow you," I called to her before she was long gone and took out my keys.

"Alright, now. I wanted to talk to you about Edward. You two look so cute together. You got a crush?" She sat across from me in a corner booth. Her elbows were on the table, and her clasped around her cup.

"Well, I've frankly found him a bit bothersome instead of liking him like that. He can be nice." I scratched the back of my head. I didn't expect her to be so upfront and about him. But how else does she know me? And what other reason is there?

"But?" She watched closely, waiting for me to say my next word.

"I don't know. His absence record is a bit annoying. I know he thought of a solution but I just can't help but wonder why and all."

"We don't know most of the time until the day of that we're going somewhere instead of school. Our parents are pretty spontaneous."

"Oh, really?" My annoyance slowly dissolved.

"Yep, so it's hard for him to tell you for how long and so on." She tapped her fingers along the cup.

It's such a simple answer, but I never thought of that really before. I guess, I can't really be mad at him for that. He can't exactly help not knowing. It was cool that he thought of a compromise to it.

He can't be all that bad, considering that factor. My smell doesn't seem to really be a problem for him anymore either. It's like after every trip, he's more tolerable.

"Does he like these trips? He seems like he's always in a better mood after them."

Her eyes flicked back up from staring into her cup. "Yes, he does. Probably more than all of us. Anything else?"

My assumptions about him seem to be wrong to some extent. At least some of them are fixed to view him in a better light. He did save me that one time.

I suppose he couldn't be too bad considering that. He deserves another chance now that that's settled.

"No, I don't think so." I took a sip from my cup. I had neglected it for most of our conversation. It cooled enough to not burn my tongue, but not too cold to enjoy it.

"Okay, it's good that that's figured out. Let me know if you have any other questions."
