Jay threw his body on the couch, a sigh escaping his lips. He turned on the TV, holding a bowl of ramen in the other hand. This right here was his comfort.
He had been texting Jungwon a while ago, talking about some random things— like most friends do— but the latter mentioned something weird that caught his interest.
Heeseung was seemingly acting weird before leaving, and Jungwon mentioned how he felt this weird, thick tension lingering between the both of them. Jay didn't really think much of it, but then his mind flicked on Sunghoon– and he wondered if there was ever this thick tension between them as well. No, right?
He switched on the TV, opening Netflix and choosing whatever he saved in his list. "Ah, the Blue Eye Samurai." He remembered seeing some videos about it on the internet, and it seemed interesting. Something he would watch.
And as expected, he was invested in the show.
It was around 2:30 when he heard a knock on the door. He paused his show, and somehow this scene felt like Deja Vu (well it quite literally happened yesterday). He stood up, and walked to the front door, the automatic light flickering on due to the motion detected. He peered through the peephole, and it was no other than Sunghoon himself, awkwardly standing outside, hands folded in front of his waist.
Jay immediately opened the door, bewildered. The latter surely wasn't drunk this time, so why would he show up at his house randomly. "Sir?" He asked, and Sunghoon smiled nervously.
"Uh, just call me Sunghoon. We're– not at work." The older mumbled, using his hands to express. "May I come in?" He asked, eyes traveling inside the house and noticed the grim light from the TV reflecting on the couch. Jay stood there baffled but invited the older in.
How the hell is he supposed to address his boss by his name? This was going to get awkward. "What are you doing here at this time, sir?" He asked and covered his mouth. "I meant, S-sunghoon." He said while walking behind the older, who sat on the couch.
"I just wanted to. I couldn't sleep, and I thought you'd be awake as well. Guess my hunch was right, after all." He said, turning his head to face Jay who stood there for a while. "Uh..." he muttered, but Sunghoon interrupted him.
"You want to have ramen?" This made Jay choke on his saliva, as he coughed several times in astonishment. "W-what do you mean?"
"You were eating ramen. I am craving some as well," Sunghoon responded, holding back a snarky reply. "Oh... of course." Jay said, "Wait, do you want me to make one?" Sunghoon asked, standing up but Jay was quick to refuse.
"You're older than me, and well, technically you're my guest for the night, so don't worry."
"Are you sure you aren't tired?" Sunghoon asked reassuringly, hoping that he wasn't bothering him. "I don't mind doing it y'know."
"I know that, Sunghoon, but stay put. It won't take that long anyways." With that he didn't let the older budge and went to the kitchen.
Wow, his boss was in his house, chilling on the couch while Jay was dying internally. What the fuck has been going on this week.
Meanwhile, Sunghoon sat on the couch, staring at the TV screen. He noticed the title of the show that Jay was watching, and was a little intrigued.
But the real question was: what the hell was this man doing in his secretary's house. Earlier, he remembered sitting behind his monitor reading files, and the next thing he knew, his feet led him to Jay's apartment.
Man, I must be feeling lonely as fuck right now.
Come to think about it, why did Sunghoon show up at Jay's house? He was craving ramen, and eating alone would make him feel guilty for some reason. I mean, there was never anything wrong with sharing something with your secretary. Yeah, that was it.
