Jay exited his car briefly, throwing a shuddered glance towards Jungwon. The dusk of void above them whispered calmly, swaying the leaves in an unnerving manner. The restaurant Heeseung had chosen was pretty popular amongst influencers on social media, and Jay immediately recognized it. He felt a nudge from Jungwon who pointed at the posters of some famous idols endorsing some of their deserts.

"Are we even supposed to be here?" the younger whispered, following behind everyone else. Jay shrugged, not really minding the chosen location.

Everyone entered the restaurant, and the interior design was classy, more modern and seemed lavish. I guess I'll be just drinking water for the night, Jay proclaimed. Other than the grand and sumptuous décor, there were tables placed in an according manner, with each table setting 6 seats and various sets of plates and glasses, countered with napkins. Jay's attention was solely swamped away by the magnificent waterfall flowing beside the opulent glass pane. He soon realized he wasn't the only one gaping. The other female employees were astonished, eyes quite literally sparkling with glee. Jay could already imagine the Instagram pictures flying in as soon as the food arrives.

"It was hard to book this restaurant, especially for today, so savor every moment, alright?" Heeseung's voice snapped everyone away from their trance and they chuckled. "Yes, sir." Yeonjun said, walking past Heeseung.

They decided to sit at the table in the corner—the longest one there—and waited for the waiter.

(a/n – random thought but why are waiters called waiters, when the customers are the one waiting 💀 idk I just thought of that while writing this lol)

Everyone soon drowned into conversation, and Jungwon, who was sitting beside Jay tapped his fingers, leaning in to whisper. "I feel like we don't belong here," he muttered, eyes darting between the table and Jay, who was sitting in between Sunghoon and Jungwon.

Earlier, Sunghoon swiftly, but quietly skipped past everyone and started trailing behind his beloved secretary. Because truth to be told, he didn't want to sit by a random employee because it'd be more awkward compared to sitting next to Jay, he concluded.

He gazed at Jay's side profile from his peripheral view and tried listening in amongst the flowing conversation of the other employees. "I'll order the cheapest thing on the menu," he heard Jay whisper, looking awkward. Sunghoon's lips curved into a thin smirk. He looks cute. He placed his arm on the table, leaning his chin on his palm as he threw feverish glances towards Jay while nodding here and there when he heard his name slip through Heeseung's mouth between conversations.

"What would you like to order, sir?" The waiter finally arrived and asked. Heeseung placed his order, and the waiter asked around the table, everyone placing their orders. When it was Jungwon, he ordered lasagna, and Jay decided to choose the fettuccini pasta. When it was Sunghoon's turn, he also chose the fettuccini pasta.

"Sir, how did you find out this place? I heard it was rumored for being famous amongst the wealthy influencers." One of the employees asked, to which the latter shrugged. "A friend of mine is an influencer. He told me about it." He answered curtly, dismissing the personal questions about the said influencer. His eyes darted toward his timid employee, who sat there, sharing whispers with Jay who smiled in return. He stared, a little too intently, finally catching the boy's gaze.

Jungwon gulped, tearing his gaze away in a split second, but his eyes failed him as they fell back on Heeseung, who just stared.

"Jungwon-ssi," he finally spoke, catching everyone's attention. Jungwon's body stiffened as he twisted his lips in a tight smile. "Yes, sir?" He squeaked out, cringing at the high pitch. "I completely forgot to introduce you to everyone. Why don't you tell us about yourself?"
