After those subtle, occurring relapses, Sunghoon awkwardly coughed, eyes darting around every spectacle of the room. Jay himself seemed quite astonished; eyes lingering over the said boy right in front of him.

Jay broke the silence, "uhm," he cleared his throat, "what happened, sir? Was there something on my face?" He asked, genuinely. Sunghoon turned his head to him, eyes gaping in pure innocence. "Ah, no--- well, there was a stain of coffee and it was really bothering me so I had to." He said, "sorry..." he voiced a soft mutter.

Jay broke into fits of laughter, unbeknownst of his quiet, calm and timid demeanor. A while ago, the same guy was talking under his breath, trying his best not to sound brazen or excited; something he did out of habit because of embarrassment. Sunghoon's lips curled into a soft smirk as he, himself, started laughing.

"Hyung, if you did this to a girl, she'd think you're flirting with her." Jay said between light chuckles, "no wonder you're so famous among the female employees."

"Really?" Sunghoon asked, taking a sip. A part of him drifted along the thoughts of Jay. Pondering over the fact that this might be considered flirting, if he acted upon his actions in front of a girl. But did Jay think that way? Did Jay perhaps feel the same spark of flush brush through his body? He kind of hoped he did.

They drifted into silence for a while, quietly sipping on the coffee. Both of them seemed to be drawing through a trance when they had nothing more to say (as they both were complete introverts). Jay had remembered something.

"Jay hyung," Jungwon called out. Jay hummed, turning his head away from the bookshelf to the boy. "Does Mr. Park seem sad to you sometimes?" He randomly asked, which confused Jay. "Why? What happened?" He asked, placing the books back on the shelf. Jungwon shifted in his seat, placing his arms over the table as he stared, conveying words. "I once overheard Mr. Lee talking about uh, Sunghoon's engagement problems." He stated, "he has issues— father issues— type of issue. Mr. Lee said that he seems despondent most of the time, and that he feels foreign amongst others sometimes," Jungwon said quietly, tracing circles on the desk. He lifted his gaze, and stared at Jay conveying a hidden message through his feline eyes. "Maybe hyung could, ya know, help him out? Talk to him?" Jungwon muttered.

Jay seemed to have to have relaxed a little more, glancing at the clock from time to time. He built the hidden courage to try and bring up the topic, though it was completely random. "Heeseung has told me that uh," Jay said, eyes boring into his coffee cup. His face had softened and he seemed to be gathering the proper words in order to confront Sunghoon. "Well, not necessarily Heeseung hyung, more like Jungwon," he paused, tilting his head to the side. "He said that there were some issues between you and uh your fiancé." He muttered as he lifted his gaze towards Sunghoon. "If you ever need time or space, please let me know sir. I know the whole--- issue with marriages, fathers and stuff and I understand, so as your secretary, I hope you reach out to me if you feel isolated." Jay pooled out his thoughts, a small smile falling upon his lips. Shit what the fuck did I just say?! He's gonna think I'm weird for prying into his life!

Sunghoon hadn't realized he was staring. Staring for a while after Jay had comforted him. He hadn't really been noticing, but his heart started racing.

"Y-yeah, thank you," Sunghoon whispered, looking down at the insoles of his shoes, "Jay-ah." The latter hummed, a sudden blush creeping at the tips of his ears. He wondered why he felt like opening up and throwing the thorns piercing all over his throat. Sometimes, his voice would stiffen up due to those thorns lunging at him; he felt the need to stick beside himself and drift away in the plain sights of isolation.

But he didn't hesitate to say anything further and sipped on his coffee in silence.

"Oh, you both are here too?"
