The sun flunk through the thin rim of glasses besides Jay, and the latter only then realized it was morning. He couldn't get a wink of sleep at night; mind plunging at the thoughts of the events that occurred the night. How could he sleep? He'd only dread waking up the next day and facing what was ahead of him. The thought of coming face-to-face with Sunghoon ever again sunk down to the bottom of his stomach, taunting him. Nonetheless, he sighed, rubbing his aching forehead. His eyes planted to cell phone lying flat on the bedside table, with the light hum of vibration stringing through.
He sat up, grabbing a hold of the phone and shutting the alarm off. The eyebags sitting under his eyes were prominent enough, even Jay could conclude that. He threw the phone on the bed, making his way out the bedroom. His eyes flickered on to the wall connecting Sunghoon's apartment and his stomach churned. God, I seriously hate myself. So. Much.
He pondered over the thought of skipping work while taking a shower, head fuzzed with the image of Sunghoon close to him. He wasn't going to deny the fact—that whatever happened—made Jay feel good. In a way, he had never kissed a person before, especially someone he liked. He liked how his lips, thin as ever, pressed softly against Sunghoon's plump ones. Oh, how he'd wish it'd happen again.
He brushed the thought away, rubbing his hair as he drowned in the pouring water.
Sunghoon's face, his moles, his lips, his eyes, his hair, his hands, his fingers...everything. Jay couldn't stop seeing Sunghoon's face roaming around his head; that's all there was to it. Sunghoon. He exhaled a weary sigh, resting his head on the wall beside the bathtub. I fucked up. Really, really bad. He had been thinking this all night long. From the moment he arrived home, his mind was fogged with everything. He honestly hated himself for trying to be someone—in Sunghoon's life. Jay physically cringed at the thought of being near Sunghoon as someone other than a secretary—maybe a friend it was genuine enough. He closed the faucet, stepping out of the shower and wrapping a towel around his waist. He hadn't realized how long he had spent in the shower, pondering over unusual, abstract situations—that could happen—but are very unlikely to be. Still, anything is possible if the circumstances endorse it.
He didn't bother glancing in the mirror, once again, embarrassed of the things he had done; ashamed. He stepped outside, only to hear the faint ringing of the doorbell. His face turned sour as he quickly threw whatever he had nearby on him and checked the door to see Sunghoon.
Oh, you're fucking joking with me.
He opened the door, peeking out slightly to avoid facing Sunghoon properly. The other had an awkward smile on his face, dressed in the usual attire. "You're not—driving me to work today?" He worded out, to which Jay felt the guilt rise. He coughed nervously, slightly opening the door. Sunghoon noticed the abnormal position of the shirt and a smile tugged at the corners of his lips. Jay perked his brow, confused, but then he realized why the latter was smirking. He quickly fixed his shirt, cheeks turning red.
How is he smiling after what happened last night?
"You're late." Sunghoon spoke. Jay's gaze turned sharp as he sucked in a breath. "Oh—I—didn't realize—"
"It's fine. Come over to my apartment once you get dressed." Sunghoon concluded, cutting the other off and went back to his apartment, closing the door behind, but not locking it. Jay watched, leaning out the door to peek. After he was gone, the younger closed the door shut, exhaling a relieved sigh.

"Sit down," Sunghoon instructed the other, pointing at the chair. Jay obliged, avoiding eye-contact with him as much as possible. He could hear the pan sizzling with oil, and his nostrils perked at the smell of egg. Specifically, the one with green onions and chili. It was an odd combination, but Jay favored it. Does he like it too? He absentmindedly thought.
