Jay pulled into the parking lot, putting the car into park. His gaze fell onto the older beside him, passively staring at the raindrops trickling down the window. A subtle smile entranced at the corners of his lips as he reached out to tap the older who was zoned out.

"Hyung, you've been staring at the window the entire time. We're home already." Jay say calmly, catching Sunghoon's attention. The older coughed lightly—possibly due to running in the rain throughout the day, and smiled at the other. "Right, sorry," he mumbled, unbuckling. "Wait, do we have an umbrella in the car?" Jay asked, pausing to look around, but the other shook his head. "No, I think I left it in my office."

They stepped outside the car, Jay grabbing Sunghoon's arm and pacing to the entrance. "Shit it's so cold—lets hurry inside." Jay shuddered, running up the cracked staircase. When they reached their floor, Jay was about to bid him goodnight, but Sunghoon grabbed his hand, stopping him from entering his apartment.

The younger looked at him in confusion, gaze stirring in fluster. "You should—at least dry yourself off, y'know, before you sleep." Sunghoon blinked, lips formed into a thin-lipped smile. He didn't let Jay answer before he dragged him inside his apartment. Upon entering, Jay didn't bother speaking further and let his heart carry the words instead. The table was unkept since this morning, and the kitchen remained dirty due to the flush of things that happened today. His eyes flickered onto the other who placed his drenched coat on the counter, combing a hand through his hair. A few waterdrops dripped from streaks of his hair and he stared down at the floor, flicking his shoes off.

Jay stared at him, hands clutched in front of his waist. When he noticed Sunghoon lifting his head, he immediately turned his gaze away and pretended to stare at the TV.

"Why are you standing there? Have a seat." He heard the older's voice ring past him. The other headed to the kitchen to grab a glass of water, pulling out another glass and filling it up for the younger. "Here," he spoke, handing Jay the glass. The latter decided to situate himself on the kitchen counter, taking light sips.

Now—that we have kissed properly... does that mean we're something else now? What happens now? What am I supposed to do after everything? Is he not going to talk about—wait I should stop thinking like this. His father just passed away, there are bigger things to worry about than just some kiss.

His mind wandered off as he drank the water, emptying the cup quite fast. The other stared at him from the back, heart yearning to hold him from the back. He placed the glass down on the counter, tracing footsteps back to the couch. "Hyung, it's late you should head to bed. I'll go home."

"Just stay for a while, Jongseong," Sunghoon muttered while walking inside his room to grab something. The other sighed, humming in response.

Their conversations were almost silent, only a few passing words exchanging between the two. Their gazes carried hesitancy, despondence, confusion, but words weren't enough to speak loud enough. Nothing made sense, but Jay felt a sense of assurance because he was with Sunghoon. And at the end of the day, he figured everything would be better now, because he had Sunghoon.

Sunghoon walked back out with a pair of black shirt and pants drooped in his arms. He placed the pair beside the younger and then proceeded to unbutton his shirt right in front of the other. Jay quickly turned his head away, and the other couldn't help but chuckle. He removed the button-up and placed it on the couch in front of him, "you can look." Jay heard the other, and slowly turned his head, eyes unintentionally falling over the older's fair skin. It felt—like déjà vu, almost.

Sunghoon leaned on the couch, folding his arms over his chest. "You always tend to get flustered over such small things. Don't you remember?" he asked the older, cocking his brow. Jay blinked in confusion, lips parted open. "What do you mean?"
