The lunch went smoothly, time flying by as Jay bored holes into the finances page. The old man, most notably known as Yoon Hwanbin rambled on about his successor, the motives and the so called "challenges" he'd face while presenting his business due to his "tarnishing" reputation. But both Sunghoon and Jay knew that the nonsense he was spewing was nothing but absolute bullshit. Hwanbin had also apparantly smuggled prostitutes, committed sexual assault but got away with it. Sitting across from him felt sickening.

"Ah, Sunghoon. I heard your father had planned to marry you off to Jang Wonyoung. Is that true?" This caught Jay's attention as he listened attentively. This question also caught Sunghoon off-guard since he wasn't so approachable when it came to asking personal questions.

Father must have told him about everything, Sunghoon configured. He smiled awkwardly, throwing a glance towards Jay who seemed to be studying the stock chart even more intensely.

"Well..." Sunghoon said, "We haven't been so rational about it. I guess it was my father's haste decision." He said with a slight nod. "But I can't be so sure," he lied. Sunghoon knew that this asshole would most likely do something corruptive to bring his company down with this newfound information. And since Wonyoung was quite popular among business residentials, it would put their company in danger as well.

Hwanbin nodded, a distasteful smirk plastered across his lips. "Well, she's definitely eye-catching. I saw how everyone eyed her during the Grand Hall." He muttered, clasping his fists together. "I would love to make her mine sometime." Jay wanted to physically gag and barf there in both astonishment and disgust. He kept his calm, clearing his throat which Sunghoon noticed. He sighed, running a hand through his hair.

"Well, Mr. Yoon, it was uh nice talking to you. I will definitely consider your offer, and my father would be very pleased to hear that you reached out to me. But unfortunately, I have to return back to the office now." Sunghoon fixed his gaze on the man, hoping he'd agree. He saw how uncomfortable Jay looked.

Thankfully, Mr. Yoon seemed to be running late to another meeting, so he immediately packed up, shook hands with Sunghoon and was escorted out by his bodyguard.

Jay meekly stood behind Sunghoon, arms folded in front of his torso as usual. He felt at ease after he noticed the man finally walking out. Sunghoon sighed, turning around and facing Jay.

"You looked horrified," he simply said and Jay's ears perked up. "Uh, really?" He questioned. "Yeah, just look at your face— your face lit up as soon as he stepped out of the building." Jay chuckled, "Yeah, didn't like him very much to be honest."

In which Sunghoon shrugged in response. "Nobody in the workfield likes him other than my father." Jay smiled sadly.

Jay threw his car keys in the basket placed on his shoe rack, marching towards his couch and throwing his body. He stared at the roof, reminiscing over the day. His mind traced back to the incident that took place in the office. A blush whisked across his face as he sighed, covering his eyes in embarrassment.

"Ugh.. why am I so embarrassing.." he whispered. He then wondered if Sunghoon had slipped right onto his bed and slept peacefully, or was he still awake. Is he thinking about him? He wondered. There's no way he would.

He heard a knock on his door. It was a light tap, but since Jay was still in the living room he heard it, clearly. He sat up, arm falling frail on the couch as he stood up. Could it be Sunghoon? He kind of hoped it would be.

Jay walked to the door, peering through the peephole, and to no surprise, it was Sunghoon. He felt his heart race slightly at the sight of him for some reason. When Jay opened the door, Sunghoon stood there with a soft smile.

"I thought you wouldn't answer," he muttered. "Did I disturb you?" He said with a subtle smirk. "No– of course not. I was just about to change anyways." Jay answered as he invited him inside. Sunghoon was wearing a loose, gray shirt and a pair of baggy white pants. "I also bought some, uh, ramen," he said, showing the two packets of shin ramen inside his hands as he removed the shoes. Jay was taken aback, a bit. He was quite random, which was funny to Jay.

"Sure, we'll have some ramen, park sunghoon," he teasingly said, causing Sunghoon to smile. Jay swiftly headed to his room to change.

It felt nice being with someone. Especially if that someone was Park Sunghoon.
