Danielle decided to stay over at Hanni's place to look out for Hanni.

"So, how's the job position progress?" Hanni asked, not taking her eyes off her laptop.

Danielle rolled her eyes, Hanni could not stop her studies for even a second, "Nothing has yet been finalized. I received an email from one of the assistants saying the board wants to have a meeting with me though." She pretended to look at her nails.

"Wait. The board??" Hanni stopped typing and looked up at Danielle with wide eyes.

"You heard meeee, the BOARD."

"Holy cow Dani. You really landed a meeting with the Board of Sung Tech."

"I'm a little surprised too. But I need to prepare my speech accordingly. I can't mess this up."

"Maybe you have changed. You're more career-focused and less focused on parties and girls."

Danielle let out an awkward smile and rubbed her nape.

"Well uh...about that. Yeah, we're still working on that last part."

"I knew it. You can't ever change huh?"

Danielle shrugged her shoulders playfully, scrunching her chin.

"So what did I miss?"

Danielle's facial expression changed instantly, leaning forward on the armrest of the sofa, "So on Saturday I went to this party. And I saw this girl, she was the most jaw-dropping girl I've ever seen. Her eyes are shaped like cat eyes."

"No freaking way, you're lying. How is that even possible?"

"Not literally dummy."

"Oh. Right"

"Anyways, apparently she's the daughter of one of the executives at Sung Tech. I think I might work in the same department as her if I get the job."

Hanni looked up from her screen, she furrowed her brows, "And...your point is?"

"She's pretty okay? I think if I could somehow make her fall in love with me in bed, I could climb the position pyramid faster."

"You're disgusting Dani."

"Whatttt?? I'm just trying to think outside the box here!"

"Well, what if it doesn't work out? What if said girl doesn't buy into your bit and tells someone?" Hanni shot back, she was clearly the only one in the room with critical thinking skills right now.

"Oh. I haven't even thought about that."

"Of course," Hanni said, rolling her eyes.

"Well. We'll just see then! Maybe she would be too scared to tell anyone. Who knows. I have my ways."

"Well, my suggestion is, don't do it. It might make sense in your little pea brain but in actuality, it's a stupid idea."

"You're no fun Hanni."

The next day.

Hanni returned from turning in and collecting various assignments at her campus. She decided to give a second attempt at treating herself with some boba.

This time she successfully got the boba without running into her ex or tripping and eating shit.

Suddenly when Hanni thought everything was going well, she received a message.
