Mixed Emotions

Hyein locked the car doors and took off, causing Hanni's body to be pushed back against the seat. Hanni was still shaken up from the assault and how Minji started aggressively beating the man.

How did Hyein and Minji even know Hanni was going to be there? Was it just a coincidence or did they follow her? Hanni asked herself before realizing that they weren't important right now.

Hanni was interrupted when a cold hand touched her face gently, guiding her face to the right. Minji assessed Hanni's wounds quietly, and Hanni let her. Minji's touch was calming on Hanni's skin. Hanni stared into the Korean's eyes to try to find something, anything. Hanni could barely read the woman, but she saw a hint of worry and..anger?

"Hyein drive faster. She's bleeding." Minji instructed before turning her attention back to Hanni.

Hanni didn't even realize she was bleeding until she saw the liquid on Minji's hand when the older woman took it off of Hanni's face. Hanni sucked in air through her teeth when Minji removed her hand from her face. She felt an overwhelming stinging sensation in her cheek.

Minji reached in her coat pocket and pulled out a handkerchief.

"This is going to hurt, but we need to stop the bleeding okay?" Minji asked. Her face was still expressionless but her voice was soft and gentle.

"Okay." Hanni replied softly, as to not put too much pressure on her throat.

Minji delicately placed the piece of fabric on Hanni's cheek, checking to make sure Hanni was okay. Minji placed her free hand on Hanni's other cheek.

"Her hand is so soft." Hanni thought to herself as she continued to stare into Minji's black orbs.

Minji then applied pressure to Hanni's bleeding cheek, causing Hanni to squeeze her eyes in pain. Hanni whimpered when even more pressure was applied to her face. She opened her eyes to see Minji who had on a different expression. The older woman's brows her inner eyebrows went up and she looked worried.

Hanni felt an unknown sensation in her chest. It wasn't pain nor was it discomfort. Hanni felt so at ease under the woman's touch, she felt safe. Which is something Hanni didn't feel with Sunwoo, even if she didn't want to admit it. Hanni didn't know what she was feeling, she had never experienced such a strong emotion before.

Hyein arrived at a lavish parking garage. She drove up the seemingly endless floors before she found an empty parking space and parked the car. Hyein got out of the car and ordered Minji and Hanni to stay put. Hyein then left, leaving Hanni and Minji alone in the car.

The two sat in silence. Hanni didn't dare to move a single muscle. Mostly because she was in too much pain to move, but also because she was scared to. Minji didn't say anything either, she just kept a firm pressure on Hanni's face.

Now that Hanni and Minji were close, Hanni could clearly see all of Minji's beautiful features. From her bold eyebrows to her soft lips..

"Wait. What the hell am I thinking?" Hanni asked herself.

But Hanni couldn't deny that the woman was really attractive.

Minji on the other hand was thinking about something completely different. Minji thought about how she had a ping of pain in her chest when she saw Hanni in this state. She couldn't seem to figure out why she felt this way for her co-worker. Minji had treated hundreds of patients, she's even seen worse. But why was it Hanni specifically that made her soft?

Hyein came back to the car, leaving these questions unanswered. Hyein signaled for the two to come out.

"What took you so long." Minji asked in an expressionless tone, while getting out of the car.
