Minji was sleeping on her desk, she had unknowingly fallen asleep the night before. She had been trying to fight off her sleepiness with caffeine but no matter how many cups of coffee or energy shots she consumed, the strong urge to sleep never went away.

She woke up to the sound of someone knocking on her office door. It took a moment for her to gain consciousness again, her mouth felt dry and her eyes felt like they would pop out of her skull at any given moment. She looked at her watch, the time displaying: 8:37am.

"Who is it?" She asked with a hoarse voice.

"It's me, Soobin."

Minji jumped up, she scrambled to pick up all the photos and notes that were sprawled over her desk, some even falling on the floor. She quickly shoved everything into her desk drawer as fast and best she could, even accidentally knocking over some cans.

Soobin's ears perked up as he heard the falling of objects alongside different banging noises.

"What's wrong Minji? Can I come in?" He asked as he reached for the handle and tried turning it.

It was locked.

"No! You can't come in." Minji shouted, her heart was beating out of her chest as she continued to fumble with the photos in her hand.

"Why not? Is everything okay?" Soobin asked, a ping of worry in his voice.

"I- I'm naked!" Minji suddenly blurred out.

"Shit. Shit. Fuck, I didn't mean to say that." She whispered to herself while she continued to stuff papers into her drawer.

Soobin furrowed his brow, why would Minji be naked? Did she have someone over? Is that why the door is locked accompanied with all the clanking inside? Was she trying to hide someone?

Minji continued to scramble for another minute before she finally took a deep breath and opened the door.

"What do you want?" Minji asked with the utmost annoyance.

Soobin tried to look inside her office for a trace of someone before he looked at Minji again. He tried to read her facial expression but it was hard when Minji had the same stern look everyone had become all too familiar with. He squinted his eyes, as if it would help him decipher her.

"What?" A head tilt.

"Did you have someone over?" He asked, his voice clipped.

She scoffed humorously, "You think I'm a dirty woman?"

"No! Of course not Minji, it's just..."

"Just what? Hm?" She teased with a sly grin at the corner of her lips.

"It's just that you don't seem to like me. You know I notice it too, you know. How you're always avoiding me, and all." He admitted, with his voice cracking up before he cleared his throat.

Minji wasn't all heartless, she had empathy, although it may not be a lot, it was better than nothing. She had never seen Soobin complain about anything, he always catered to what she wanted without much protest. She felt for him, she wished that he could be with someone that actually loved him and cared about him as much as he cared for them.

"Soobin.." She reached out for his shoulder.

This simple act made him flinch, Minji has never touched him before, willingly. They had never even been this close physically on their own terms.

"I didn't have anyone over, I'm not that kind of woman. You don't need to worry." She spoke softly, forcing a smile.

"Then try."
