Hanni knew she wasn't going to be able to escape the woman's offer. Ms. Kim started to unwrap Hanni's gauze before Hanni could even reject her.

All Hanni could do was stay quiet and admire the taller woman's sheer dedication and focus.

But the silence between them was starting to grow more and more awkward with each passing second. Hanni bit down on her teeth, cringing at the awkwardness. She had a feeling this could've been the same woman from the subway. But she didn't know how she would begin to bring this up.

"So. What happened?"

Her question startled Hanni a bit.

"Oh. Uhhh." Hanni hesitated on whether or not she should tell the truth or make something up.

The taller woman stopped what she was doing and looked at Hanni. Hanni's eyes widened in fear. The woman's face was cold and expressionless. Hanni had a hard time reading her look.

"I tripped and fell," Hanni confessed.

Well, she wasn't lying. She was just leaving out the cause of why she tripped. Hanni was satisfied with her answer, thinking Ms. Kim would move on.

But it was as if the woman knew there was more to the story.

"Just that?"

Hanni was caught off guard, "Y- yeah. Just that. I wasn't watching where I was going."

Again, Hanni wasn't wrong. She just kept leaving out the main reason.

The woman sitting in front of her noticed Hanni kept leaving out details and her breaths started to increase so the woman decided to leave it alone. She had experience in telling when people are leaving out certain details to the bigger picture. She majored in psychology when she first started university but changed it later. Her good "mind" reading skills were also thanks to her experience with putting up with a ton of patient bullshit.

"Make sure you look after your hands. It may seem like a light injury but slack on cleaning and you're just asking for an infection. Especially when you're working in a hospital."

Hanni couldn't help but admire the woman's knowledge. The passion and seriousness in her deep voice drove Hanni crazy.

"Yes, I will make sure to look after it."

The woman began to clean up the trash after wrapping Hanni's hands. She stood up with the leftover materials and started to walk away from Hanni.

"Wait!"

The woman stopped and turned to face Hanni. Their eyes met and Hanni could feel a lump in her throat. The woman towered over her. Her eyes pierced at Hanni's, her face still expressionless.

"What is it?"

"Are you a doctor?" Hanni asked.

"A surgeon."

"Oh. What type of surgeon are you? If you don't mind me asking of course." Hanni nervously asked, looking away and rubbing her arm a little.

The taller woman was intrigued by Hanni's behavior.

"I'm the head surgeon of the ER area."
