She looked completely different from when Hanni last saw her. She was wearing an elegant dress that had a slit, revealing her stomach. Her makeup was light but highlighted her lips and eyes. Her hair was curled into a messy wolf cut. Hanni took a moment to admire the girl's beauty before realizing it was her ex who was standing in front of her. Hanni nearly forgot that Sunwoo was her ex for a second.
"It's been a while, Hanni." Sunwoo said in a luring voice.
Hanni averted her eyes towards the floor, slightly embarrassed she had stared for too long. "Yeah, it has been."
"You look..troubled Hanni." Sunwoo whispered as she inched closer to Hanni.
Hanni froze up. If she was sober she would've definitely gotten up and walked away, but she wasn't. Everyone around Hanni, including Sunwoo knew that Hanni's ability to hold her liquor was weak. After only two drinks, Hanni felt like she had lost control of her critical thinking. Hanni lost all dignity, even forgetting what Yunjin told her about Sunwoo earlier.
Sunwoo started to play with Hanni's hair, trailing her fingers down her nape, across her jawline and stopping at her chin. She seductively lifted Hanni's chin with her index finger, staring intently into Hanni's dark brown eyes.
Just like that, Hanni was casted under Sunwoo's spell. Hanni opened her mouth to speak, trying to gain control of the situation but Sunwoo quickly sealed their lips together. Hanni was asking the universe for guidance on what to do with Sunwoo. When Sunwoo kissed Hanni, she took it as a sign that maybe people do deserve second chances.
--------------------------------
Hanni and Sunwoo got back together. At first, Hanni had her guards all the way up. She was extremely cautious when it came to Sunwoo. Hanni knew that it was a pretty big risk to let Sunwoo back into her life, especially after everything that happened between them. But it was in her nature to be forgiving towards people, even if they didn't deserve it. The only people Hanni had trouble forgiving were her parents. They were probably the reason Hanni never learned to set concrete boundaries with people and let them step all over her.
Hanni had a list of things that she kept in the back of her mind to make sure getting back together with Sunwoo was the right call. To Hanni's surprise, Sunwoo exceeded her expectations. Sunwoo was more patient with Hanni, something that Sunwoo didn't do the last time they were together. Additionally, Sunwoo started to help Hanni pay her bills. Hanni insisted that she could handle everything herself but Sunwoo argued that helping Hanni financially was the least she could do for Hanni after all the suffering Sunwoo caused for Hanni.
Two months had passed by. Hanni had gone from someone who was dreading waking up every single day to someone who was excited when every new day started.
On this particular day, Hanni had a packed schedule. She had to go to a morning class and right after she had a meeting with her financial advisor. Hanni had recently switched her shifts at the hospital to start and end a few hours later. Hanni's duties at work had started to pick up the pace too. She had more responsibilities at the hospital and had to tend to more patients.
After getting back together with Sunwoo, Hanni almost completely dropped her interests for Minji. Hanni wanted to devote more time to Sunwoo. She wanted to focus more on rebuilding their relationship.

Hanni was walking down the sidewalk of Seoul, rethinking her entire life decisions. She had somehow forgotten to check the weather before leaving her apartment this morning. It was pouring rain. Hanni held her book bag in her jacket pocket, scared of getting her laptop and books wet. She was completely soaked from head to toe. Her wavy hair was now drenched and straight.
