Hanni turned around to face Minji, the taller lifted her chin slowly with her index finger, bringing her face to meet her eyes. When Hanni opened her eyes, she was given nothing but disappointment. It wasn't Minji who she was looking at, it was Sunwoo.

Immediately, Hanni entered flight or fight mode. She pushed Sunwoo roughly, with all of her strength, causing the girl to stagger back.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?" Sunwoo growled, she regained her balance and began to approach Hanni.

The Vietnamese backed away slowly, scanning the surroundings for an exit, or perhaps a weapon she could use to defend herself. This time, she would up for herself, she would fight back. She wouldn't allow herself to be trodden on like she had these past few months.

"You didn't go to a doctor's appointment did you?"

At these words, Hanni felt her heart drop to the bottom of her stomach, nausea crashed into her, her arms starting to shake vigorously with fear.

"Why do you care?" Hanni choked out, feeling a lump in her throat. Her voice trembled with fear in unison with her shaking limbs, her knees began to feel like jelly as she backed into the kitchen sink.

"You dare to speak to me this way, Pham?" Sunwoo barked, testing the other girl's strength.

This wasn't the first time Hanni tried to fight back, and Sunwoo knew this all too well. Time and time again, the outcome was always the same. Sunwoo would be standing above Hanni, who would be forced to her knees. Various means of degrading and abuse would be thrown at the helpless girl beneath her. Sunwoo had the power, she knew that she had Hanni wrapped around her dirty finger, knowing exactly what her weaknesses were, knowing how to push her back into a dark abyss time and time again. She knew how to provoke the girl, breaking her down to a pulp.

"I'm DONE!" Hanni screamed out abruptly, throwing her hands in the air.

The sudden action surprised Sunwoo a little, she was so used to seeing Hanni be a weak, lost puppy, not a scary pitbull who was ready to pounce at any given moment. However, Sunwoo smiled, she wanted to see how long Hanni could keep it up.

"Done with what, Pham?" Sunwoo teased with a mischievous smirk.

"I'm done feeling like this, I'm tired of the way you treat me, Sunwoo." Hanni voiced the feelings that she suppressed for so long. She felt a huge weight being lifted off her shoulders, a tonne of bricks, making it easier to breathe.

Sunwoo scoffed, "The way I treat you?"

"I've done nothing but treat you well, Hanni."

Here it is again, the lies and gaslighting. Hanni shook her head, closing her eyes which prompted a stream of tears to fall easily down her face like a weak waterfall.

"No. You've treated me like shit. Like a wild animal, like I'm not human."

All of a sudden it felt as if someone cut open her chest to rip her heart out, a terrible headache burst into her head and stopped her train of thoughts, the tension was so tight that Hanni couldn't help but drop to the floor.

She grabbed her chest feeling her heart beating rapidly, too rapidly. Her heart was working over time, trying to keep up with Hanni's panic, sprinting at a dangerously high speed.

Her vision started to blur, the kitchen began to spin, her ears rang like a bell echoing in her head. Using her other hand, she grabbed her head, trying to ease the pain. Sunwoo simply stood in front of Hanni, not amused at the scene unfolding before her.

"Really? You think it's a good time to begin your acting career?"

Hanni's breathing became more labored and fast, she took short but fast breaths, causing her to feel lightheaded. She was desperate for these feelings to go away, all of these sensations were too much for Hanni. She reached her hand out, trying to receive help from Sunwoo, sending her silent cries for help but the girl did not budge.
