Minji closed the tabs on her MacBook and went to shut it down. After she clicked "ok", she fell back into her office chair. She closed her eyes, now finally having the time to rest. She took in the surroundings around her, the quiet but loud room. The heavy noise of the air conditioning gave off this brown noise that was soothing to Minji. She felt like she could stay like this forever. And she almost did. Minji felt her eyes relax more and more. She was about to give in when a notification came through her phone.

She slowly opened her eyes while her heart sank, sad that the moment of slight meditation was disrupted. Minji sighed and went to look at who sent the message.

Soobin
> Minji, are you done with your shift yet?

Minji didn't want to reply. But she quickly did so before jumping out of her chair and grabbed her things.

Hanni made it back home and lazily plopped down her bag on the couch. She still had some studying to do, and she really did not feel like doing anything besides crashing into her bed and not leaving until dawn.

But despite Hanni's tiredness and fatigue, she mustered the strength to not go straight to bed. Hanni looked up at the wall clock.

7:47pm

Hanni closed her eyes and took one deep breath before entering her bedroom.

~~

Hanni sat at her desk typing quickly while her eyes scanned the screen. She had managed to shower and eat dinner without falling asleep and the urge to jump into the soft cold bed behind her was growing. Her back was tense, in need of relief. But Hanni continued to study with the hope of getting a good night's rest with the satisfaction of studying.

The glass of coffee Hanni made for herself was starting to melt into water and condensation dripped down the side onto the desk.

~~

Hanni shut the laptop screen roughly before reaching to turn off the lamps on her desk. She then made her way over to the room light switch and turned that off too. The only light remaining in the room was one of the wall nightstand lamps next to the headboard. Hanni walked towards her bed and let herself collapse on top of the fluffy, cold sheets.

Hanni then adjusted herself under the covers and laid in satisfaction, knowing she was productive. It felt good. It felt good knowing she did what needed to be done.

Hanni started reflecting on her performance at work. She thought she could've been more focused and in the zone. She did drift off into her own world a couple of times throughout the tour Hyein was giving. Hanni made a mental note to be more focused the next time. It was a little difficult to stay fully aware for Hanni though. How could she? Hanni always had a million things running through her mind, the stress of school and the big urge to do well at work always lingered in Hanni's thoughts.

This time, there was something new that came into Hanni's thoughts. Minji. The way the woman stood up for her on the train and now in the workplace made Hanni feel things she never knew she would be able to feel again. It was a feeling she got when she first met Sunwoo. But due to Hanni's fresh and open wound left by her ex, she didn't want to have this feeling. Hanni also wasn't 100% sure if Minji was the same woman on the train, but everything matched up, her eyebrows, her voice, her name..and that attitude of hers. It was lame, cold and harsh at times, but damn did it make Hanni want to know more about Minji.
