__________<>__________

It didn't take long for the music to take a drastic turn.

Dumbledore had booked a popular band among witches that Bel herself bought to his attention.

The Weird Sisters.

On a few occasions, Bel had played some of their music in his office to help her focus during training.

When they appeared on stage, she couldn't help but search for her mentor in the crowd of dancing students.

The moment she found him, he gave her a small wink and returned to his conversation with Professor McGonagall.

It told her all she needed to know.

Have fun. You've earned it.

She could practically hear his voice saying it, and all he did was wink.

"How long does this charm last exactly?" Harry asked her in a raised voice as the blasting music started to pick up, joined by the screaming crowd of celebrators.

"Who knows? It probably isn't my best work considering whatever I drank earlier. That, plus all the spinning ..."

"Do you need to sit down?"

Harry had quickly interrupted her, paused in his dancing, and was gripping onto her forearms as though she needed stabilising.

"There's no need to worry", Bel replied gently and reassuringly.

Naturally, Harry had always worried about her. Just as she had always worried about him.

For some reason, he seemed more open about it now. And Bel found herself feeling grateful that he did.

She was already seeing changes.

Good ones.

For now.

"But ... I think it would be a good idea for a different reason", she quickly added after glancing over to the tables and chairs abandoned to the other side of the hall.

Well, almost abandoned.

A very unimpressed and exasperated Ron Weasley was slumped down on one of the chairs, at his side was an equally bored-looking Padma Patil.

Bel tracked the grumpy red-heads eyeline to see Hermione having the time of her life being spun around by a well-dressed Viktor Krum.

Now, she most certainly wasn't one to make assumptions nor judge about best friends having silent crushes on one another, but there was still a small voice in her head wanting to both laugh and scream at Ron's idiocy.

Without even speaking to him she knew just why he was sulking.

Ron wanted to be Krum for a very different reason that evening. Hence why she would laugh at him.

But why she would scream was because he could have been. If only he had asked Hermione himself.

However, despite the complicated issues of friends transitioning into more, Bel's flawless night included all of her closest friends having a good time too.

Which is why she started to head off the dance floor with Harry to try and cheer Ron up.

But she had only taken two steps before she felt a third hand grasp onto her left forearm.
