Bel Whitlock wasn't a huge fan of early mornings.

However, the morning of the Quidditch World Cup she had been awoken rather early to get ready for the formal event.

Narcissa had insisted on helping her after the two had chosen a dress for her to wear.

The young girl hated how much she adored her outfit for the day ahead.

The stunning dress of choice was made of fine black silk. It had long sleeves that were fitted and extended to her wrists. The neckline was a V-shape but didn't fall so low that Bel was uncomfortable with what might be on show.

Instead of being a flowy dress, it hugged the curves of her body in a very comfortable way, and it extended down to end halfway up her thighs.

Bel rarely had excuses to just be a girl.

Making herself look pretty for such things as formal occasions by using pretty dresses and glimmering jewellery.

Speaking of, Narcissa had lent Bel some of her silver rings as well as a silver lariat necklace which had small sparkling diamonds placed around it in sequence.

With a few simple charms, Bel had her makeup done for the first time ever.

Narcissa had chosen to give her small black winged eyeliner, with natural face makeup making her skin look silky smooth. It was accompanied with a dark burgundy lipstick shade.

With thin flesh coloured tights, heeled black boots, and a long, collared black coat which extended down to her knees, the outfit was complete.

Narcissa had also tended to Bel's wild blond curls, working cautiously to tie two of the centre curls back around her head with a black ribbon which she then braided together, leaving the rest to fall elegantly around her shoulders and down her back.

The entire process of getting ready was something Bel found herself unexpectedly enjoying.

Narcissa Malfoy was the only member of the Malfoy family Bel could put up with.

Perhaps it had something to do with the fact she only had a son, taking the opportunities with Bel to treat her as a daughter of sorts.

When the young girl was all finished and prepared to go, Narcissa had told her just how beautiful she looked as the two stared in the mirror.

It was a moment that warmed Bel's heart.

A strange thing to happen when she was residing in Malfoy Manor.

But it didn't compare to how strange it was for Draco Malfoy to compliment her.

When Bel had made her way down the grand staircase to the entrance room of the Manor, Lucius and Draco were already stood waiting.

As she predicted, Draco was dressed in an all-black suit, a turtleneck black shirt under the blazer, accompanied by a silver ring which Bel assumed was an heirloom of sorts and a small silver snake pendant attached to his collar.

Lucius was also predictably wearing his signature black cloak which covered whatever suit he had chosen, as well as clutching his snake headed walking stick containing his wand.

Bel had placed her own wand into the inner pocket of her coat, as well as the letter she had written for Harry just in case she managed to sneak away to find him.
