"So you deal with these monsters on a daily bases?" Natasha asked while they were running. Annabeth still held his hand and with his other, he cut down the monsters that tried to get close.

"Pretty much. They can smell demigods. Especially Percy since he's a child of the Big Three." Annabeth explained. Percy would have answered but he was almost to the point of overstimulation. His adrenaline was pumping, his heart burned from running, his ears hurt from all of the noise and his body buzzed unpleasantly with the feeling of monsters, demigods and mortals all around him. And the sound of car tires squeaking really close. Wait what?

"Did someone order an Uber to Avengers Compound?" Happy said from the car. Percy smiled while they all got into the van Happy was driving.

"Anything of interest happen at the compound?" Bucky asked.

"Yeah. Some bird lady took up camp. She wouldn't let anyone inside." Percy nudged Annabeth with his elbow.

"That's Eris. She's waiting for us." He said with a frown.

"Well let's go greet her." Natasha said, she pulled something from her pocket and he felt Annabeth tense beside him.

"That won't work on her or any of the monsters." Annabeth said. "They can only be defeated with Celestial Bronze or Imperial Gold. So unless you have those kinds of bullets, that gun is useless." Natasha had pulled out a gun. She hummed and placed it back into her hostler.

"So how do you expect us to fight?" Bucky said rudely. Percy cleared his throat.

"Um, this might sound really gross and gruesome but," He bite his bottom lip and thought back to his first night at camp all those years ago. "You can kill a monster with a part of its body." The car was silent. "When I was twelve I killed the Minotaur by stabbing it with its own horn." He explained. "So if you, I don't know, rip off a horn or claw you can use that. You guys are pretty strong so I don't think you would have much trouble fighting." Annabeth slowly removed her hand from Percy's and it felt like he was back in Iceland with cold water pouring down his spine. He shut his mouth and swallowed. He still remembers her begging him to not kill Misery in Tartarus. How it was the first time that Annabeth, strong, brave Annabeth was afraid of Percy. He never, ever, wanted her to feel that again. Maybe he said too much but he wanted to help. He wanted the Avengers to have a chance of defending themselves and therefore all of them winning against Eris.

He heard Natasha puff out what sounded like a laugh. "Brute strength it is." She said breaking the tension. He curled his now empty hand into a fist.

Percy could sense water nearby telling him they were close to the compound. He was correct because a moment later the car stopped but no one got out. "What?" He asked.

"The compound..." Peter started.

"It's surrounded by purple trees. I can't even see the building." Percy remembered seeing purple trees in his dream with Eris.

"She's here." Percy stated. He took a deep breath and got out of the car, followed by the rest except for Happy.

"I'll be here." He said. Percy would smile at him if he wasn't so sure they were walking into a death trap. The smell of rotten apples filled the air. Percy took a deep breath and uncapped Ridetide. "Let's do this." Before he could march into the compound, a hand belonging to Annabeth grabbed his elbow.

"Wait. We need a plan." Oh yeah. Percy thought. He had the confident feeling that he could go up to Eris right now and she would surrender. That was probably the Necklace of Harmony giving him false confidence.

"You're the daughter of the goddess of strategy, right?" Natasha asked. "So what's the plan?"

"I think I should go in separately. Eris wants me for some weird reason." He knew the reason, he just didn't want to say it out loud. Annabeth gripped his arm tighter.

"I don't know, Percy. She may want you but who knows what will happen if she does get her hands on you."

"I have the necklace." He reminded her. "All we need to do is make her surrender, right? I have to be near her for the necklace to work so I suggest we all split up. Take her from all sides." Annabeth hummed.

"Where are the others?" She asked Peter, Natasha and Bucky.

"Steve should be somewhere around here." Bucky said. As if summoned, the sound of a blaster appeared overhead along with someone's fast and heavy footsteps. "Like I said."

The remaining Avengers gathered around them. "Who planted the trees?" Tony asked.

"Okay so here is what's going to happen." Annabeth announced. "The mortals who can't see the monsters stay out here and guard the outside. That means myself, Percy, Natasha, Peter and Bucky are going inside. We have a few more hours of daylight on our side so we have to be quick. Percy will take the main entrance with the necklace. While you distract Eris, we will go through the side entrances. Natasha and I will take the East side, Bucky and Peter will take the West."

"How do you know so much about our compound?" Steve asked.

"I found the blueprints in the library." She said with what sounded like a shrug. "It's public stuff and architecture is my thing." She grasped Percy's hand and gave it a squeeze. "Mist sighted team," She continued, "All around New York are teenagers and kids running around with weapons and fighting what looks like normal people. Do not fight the kids, they are other demigods who are trying to control the monsters on Percy's orders. But don't let anyone else into the compound until this is all over. No one needs to die today." She tugged on his hand purposefully. "No one." Percy understand what she meant. No killing Eris. "Does everyone understand?" A round of agreements came fort.

"Let's get this chaos under control."
