You ever have the urge to sneeze but it just wouldn't come out? But then finally, you sneeze and your whole body relaxes and you get a sense of euphoria because that strange feeling is gone. That's what it felt like for Percy to finally fight someone without holding back. Who is Percy fighting? Each member of the Avengers one on one, one after the other, without stopping.

They were fighting in what Percy could tell was a large arena and gym. The ground was lightly squishy and it was hot. The place had no air circulating from what Percy could hear or feel. It made Percy feel trapped since it felt like he was cut off from the rest of the world. The squishy floor was surrounded by ropes, there was tons of heavy bags that Steve said were not filled with sand but cement, and a virtual reality fighting simulation. Percy thought practicing against a computer would be cool but he wouldn't be able to sense the holograms.

His first opponent was Tony Stark, or Iron Man which was his hero name. When he heard the others all had hero names to protect their identities Percy thought about what his name would be. Water Boy? No, that's stupid. Seaweed Brain? No, that's Annabeth's name for him. A voice in the back of his mind whispered God Killer. It made Percy flinch and remember how he almost killed Misery. He decided he didn't need a hero name because he wasn't going to be a superhero, being a hero of Olympus twice over was more than enough.

At first the others wanted to go easy on Percy just to test his abilities, but he was itching to move so they agreed to go all out. And Tony was going all out. He was flying around Percy in his suit of iron which made a lot of noise. It was easy to dodge his attacks because of the gearing up sound he made before each attack. When Tony realized those wouldn't work he resorted to hand-to-hand combat in which Percy excelled. Pulling Riptide was pointless as it would pass through everyone but Peter so he was focused on the movements of his opponents and his own body. Although punching a large suit of armor did hurt Percy's fists.

Their match went on for a while before the others called it a tie. "Not bad, kid." Tony said afterward, fist bumping Percy. "If you're interested I could develop something in the lab were you would have some water on you at all times." Percy appreciated the offer and told him he would think about it. Having some water on him all the time would be useful but in truth Percy didn't need it. If fighting someone with blood, he had all the weapons he needed.

His next match was against Natasha Romanov, or Black Widow. She reminded Percy of Annabeth a little. The attitude, the confidence, the way she flipped him onto his back and knocked the wind out of him in a matter of seconds. Needless to say, Natasha won that match. "I thought you could sense movement?" She asked. Percy rubbed the back of his neck and got to his feet.

"I can tell where a person is, doesn't mean I'm always fast enough to stop their attacks." Natasha hummed.

"Looks like we need to work on your speed." She remarked and was replaced by Percy's next opponent, Clint Barton or Hawkeye.

Much like his fight with Tony, Clint learned quickly that Percy could hear his arrows flying towards him so he used his bow as a weapon during close combat. Percy decided to take a page out of his book and drew Riptide and used it as a shield against the bow. "Where do he pull a baseball bat from?" He heard someone, Percy thinks it was Tony, said. This team-up was going to be tough if not all of the Avengers could see through the mist.

"Baseball bat?" Peter questioned. "That's a sword. A cool sword." He could hear the excitement in his voice.

"You know," Percy said when he was able to take down Clint with a few well aimed kicks to the knees, "With the bow and arrow thing, I would have thought you were a demigod." Percy was out of breath and laying on his back. He summoned his water bottle from where the others were standing and chugged half of it and pouring some of it over his head, energy surging into his body.

"Apollo, right? God of archery?" Clint asked. Percy nodded.

"Yeah, he's pretty okay but you don't sound like his children. Your blood I mean." Clint chuckled.

"That's so weird." Percy agreed but he stopped having opinions about his powers years ago.

His next match was against Peter which was the most challenging for Percy. He was able to dodge his webs because of the sound they make when they shoot and block his physical attacks because of the sound of his blood. He was fast and he was smart. Percy knew if he pulled out Riptide, it would actually hurt Peter so he settled for the next best thing. He summoned the water from his water bottle. He could feel and move the water like it was another limb and he brought it over and covered Peter's web shooters with water and heated it up, a new trick he learned a few summers ago. He smelt the melting metal and heard them short circuit. "Ow! Hot!" Peter yelled. He threw down the web shooters with a painful hiss. Percy almost felt bad but his guilt was wiped away when Peter landed a heavy kick to his stomach. Percy summoned the rest of his water and used it to push Peter away from him. He heard him land on his back. Percy quickly stood and moved to stand over Peter. He used the water to pin his wrists down and brought Riptide to where Percy thought his throat was.

"Because you're a demigod, my sword could hurt you." Percy said. And he smirked, "This means I win." Peter whined.

"Oh man! But that is so cool how your sword can only hurt demigods. Is it like programed for that? Or the metal?" Percy released Peter and helped him up.

"I think Percy had enough for today." Steve said with a clap from his hands. He was watching and taking notes for Fury the whole time. He walked over and put a hand on his shoulder. "Great work today, Percy." He could hear the smile and it sounded genuine. Percy got a strange feeling in his gut. It felt nice to be validated by a grown up who wasn't his mom or Paul. He bent his head so his flushed face wasn't visible. "Great job, everyone." He said.

"How did today go?" Happy asked on his way home. Percy smiled to himself. He was sure Happy could see it but he didn't care. Without realizing it, Percy had a fun time with the Avengers today. It was always nice to spar with new people and they all seem to accept him.

"It was okay." Percy grinned.
