Percy bowed his head before twisting himself around. "Uh, Mr. Fury?" He heard loud and powerful footsteps walking towards him.

"Thor, what the hell are you doing here?" Fury yelled. "I thought I told you to stay away from the compound today." Thor once again laughed. His hand still clenching Percy's shoulder, which was starting to go numb.

"But I heard from Stark that Perseus was coming today!" Typical of a god. Percy thought.

"Stark! Explain!" Percy was starting to get the impression that Fury hated almost everyone in the room.

"You said some kid who is apparently a demigod was joining the Avengers. I had to see if he was lying." Percy could hear the smugness in his voice and he thought back to what Steve said at his apartment. That Percy was going to change his 'don't kill mortals' rule after he met some of the team. Maybe he was on to something, Percy thought. "And apparently not. Thor, you know him?" Percy swore under his breathe.

"Of course! Savior of Olympus. Twice, I might add! He also helped a friend of mine." Percy then felt sorry for Annabeth's cousin who was just called Thor's friend. "You may be Greek, my friend, but when you die Valhalla will be open to you. I'm just surprised you didn't die in Tartarus!" At the mention of the word, Percy felt his skin start to burn. His sword felt heavy in his hand, but he couldn't panic. Not with people he just met. Maybe he'll break down on his way home with Happy. He touched the cap to the tip of his sword and slipped Riptide back into his pocket.

"Lord Thor," Percy said clearing his throat and thoughts, "I appreciate you coming to see me but I'm not allowed to even know you exist. Let alone talk to you." He didn't know the level of respect he was suppose to show to a god outside of his Pantheon but he thought being over cautious was a good start.

"Ah! Your uncle giving you a hard time?" Percy nodded and slightly tilted his head up towards the sky. "I could talk to him about it?" He asked.

"No!" Percy cleared his throat. "No, thank you. Please don't mention you even met me."

"Of course! Anything for you, hero!" Thor let go of his shoulder and relief spread through his body.

"So, he is the son of a god?" Percy heard that Tony Stark was one of the smartest people alive. But right now, Percy didn't know how he could be so dense.

"I just said that." Percy snarled.

"Ok, so why is he calling you a hero?" Bucky spoke up for the first time in their interaction.

"Because Perseus saved the gods twice! Of course not my gods. His gods." Thor explained.

"It's a long story." Percy added.

"Right," Stark draw on, "So you thought Peter was one of you?" Percy heard Thor move towards Peter.

"So you were finally claimed!" Percy knew some gods were dumb, but he did not expect this level from anyone other than Apollo. Percy once again heard Peter shuffling around, most likely uncomfortable once again.

"He was never claimed, Lord Thor." Percy said. "But he is a child of Athena."

"Are you certain?" Thor asked.

"Yes. His blood makes the same sound as other children of Athena." Percy didn't know if he should expand on his level of knowing who Peter's parent is, but in the end Peter interrupted his thoughts.

"I don't remember anything about my mother only my dad. I thought she died with him." His voice was shaky. "The only thing I remember was a dream I had when I was bitten."

"Bitten?" Percy asked.

"Yeah. That's how I got my powers as Spider-Man. I was bitten by a spider."

"That... actually makes a lot of sense." Percy thought of the spiders that constantly try to get revenge on Annabeth and her siblings for Athena's curse on Arachne. Percy thought it make sense that Peter was bitten by a spider since he is related to Athena. The powers on the other hand must have had to be something with the spider, not his godly parent.

"Wait," Bruce said, "A hero, as in a war hero?" He said in the form of a question. "Percy, did you go to war?"

"Did Thor say you went to Tartarus? Like the Greek equivalent to Hell?" Bucky asked next.

Percy didn't like how this conversation was going and he didn't know how to stop it. All this talk of war and heroes and Tartarus and gods, it made Percy's head hurt. He hasn't been near so many people since the war ended and the overload of sounds and new blood was starting to suffocate Percy. He didn't realize he was covering his ears until someone, who he didn't know, suddenly touched his elbow. Percy sprung away in panic and nearly pulled out his sword before he remembered exactly where he was.

Avenger's Compound. Avenger's Compound. These people are safe. He told himself. "Percy?" It was Steve. "Are you alright?" Breath in, breath out, in, out, in.

"Yeah, yeah I'm okay." He lowered his hands and faced where he believed the rest of the group was waiting rather quietly. Percy gave them what he thought was a convincing smile. "I'm sorry about that. I haven't been around a lot of people in a while and all of the talk about... that place...was a bit much." It went quiet again.

"That means all of you shut the hell up about the kid's life!" Fury translated. Percy would say 'thanks' but he had a feeling it would go unanswered and unappreciated.

"Right!" Steve said. "Well now that we know Percy can control water-"

"Water based liquids if you want to get technical." Percy added.

"Yes, that. I say we all go around and say things we can do." He finished.

"Ah man, I hate ice breakers." Peter said confirming to Percy that this Peter person was young.

"First, Thor I think you should leave. You weren't even suppose to be here in the first place." The God of Thunder grunted but followed his orders and stormed off.

"Right! Who wants to start?"
