They needed a way for Percy to be able to sense a large area at a time. Tony thought they should use the quinjet but Percy had to remind them of his inability to go into the sky. "Are you sure? That's seems very counter productive for your uncle. I mean killing you while you try and save the world?" Tony said. Percy sighed and he heard Annabeth do the same.

"The only reason Percy hasn't been killed is because of his father. If Zeus kills him, Poseidon would start a war but the sky is fair game. That's his territory." Annabeth explained. And the fact that she was right made Percy's stomach churn and not in a good way. Being alive only because his death would start a war is not something Percy likes thinking about.

Their next idea was having Natasha ride around the whole country on her motorcycle with Percy at her back but that would have taken a long time. Time they didn't have. "I just got a notification from Director Fury." Steve announced. "The Amazon River and the Nile have dried up. Not an ounce of water left. He thinks it might be Eris." Percy heard Annabeth curse in Greek.

"Well, that's definitely going to cause some chaos." Clint muttered from Percy's right.

And then Peter had an idea. "Why not just use the snow?" He asked quietly but Percy was able to hear. He turned to him and pointed in his direction.

"What did you say?"

"Um. The snow. Snow is water based and it's all over Iceland during the winter." He shuffled his feet and the snow crunched underneath. It was then that Percy realized he had tons of energy and could feel the placement of everyone present. He attributed it to his long swim but now he noticed that everyone was standing in snow. Snow he could feel. Snow he could-

He felt that familiar tug in his gut but this time it was different. He focused on that feeling and it felt like his insides were frozen. With a slow movement of his hand and the pressure in his stomach freezing him, he brought a chunk of snow into the air and shaped it into a snowball. Snow he could control. He laughed and smirked towards Annabeth.

"Percy don't you dare!" She yelled before he threw the snow at her and he could hear it hit her. "Seaweed brain!" She cursed in between her giggles.

"Peter you're a genius!" He said. "I can't wait to tell Estelle that's I'm Elsa!" He laughed.

"Perfect! So..." Bucky started, "Now what? Do you just, I don't know, sense if she's standing in snow?"

"Pretty much!" Percy smiled.

"And how are you going to do that?" Natasha asked with skepticism laced in her voice. And Percy had no idea. But Annabeth put her hand on his shoulder and leaned forward him. He could smell the jet fumes and leather from the quinjet on her fluffy parka that tickled his nose.

"You know how in the ocean, you can sense things for miles without a thought?" She whispered. Percy nodded along following her train of thought. He sat on the freezing ground and dug his hands into the snow at his sides. He closed his eyes out of habit and took a deep breath in and out.

The feeling in his gut was smooth and cold like freshly melted ice. He gripped the snow in his hands but all he could hear was the blood flow of the people around him. "Uh guys," he said. "Can you not be standing on snow? All I can feel and hear is your blood."

"Gross."
"Cool."

Tony and Peter said in unison. Percy heard them all, including Annabeth, move away. He didn't know where they went but no one was now on ice or snow. He took another breath in and out before spreading his hands out on the ground, freezing his fingertips. Percy acted as if he was in the water. Spreading out his awareness was like extending a limb. He reached out in all directions and could feel the movements of the people, all mortals, on snow and ice. Percy didn't know how long he sat there, butt numb and fingers raw. But it was worth it when he hear a whisper.

Perseus.

It startled his so much that he flinched. "Percy?" Annabeth asked with worry.

"Sh!" He said quickly. He might feel guilty about shushing her now but he might have found something, someone. He extended his metaphorical limb towards where he heard the voice.

Perseus. Son of the earth shaker.

He found it. The slow moving feel of Ichor, like syrup moving out of a bottle. It was faint as was the voice but there none the less.

Break the chains. Shake the earth.

Percy sighed and nodded despite the fact that the deity probably couldn't see him. Should he trust a random voice? Maybe not. But he felt good, calm. The voice felt like a hug. The complete opposite of what Eris made him feel. So yeah, he was going to trust this voice.

Beneath him the ground began to shake while the tug in his gut smoothed out. He couldn't hear the shouts from the others as the ground shook harder and stronger pulses of energy left his hands into the earth. He could feel the Ichor buzzing like it was under his skin. Finally, with a shout and one more large pulse, Percy heard a snap.
