Finding My Sun

Yet again I feel homesick.
Every second I'm not occupied.
It creeps in, the thought that I want to go home.
The image of a dark corridor is the scene I see.
A dark corridor dark as night until I see them.

I see them in the distance.
smiling and beckoning
Waving and calling
And all of a sudden, I find the light.
The salvation.
The freedom
The hope
The reason to live.
The only light in my dull world.

These two people who saved my life.
These two who I can never forget.
These two the first ones to show me unconditional love.
These two who mean everything to me.
These two who make up the sun I revolve around.
These two who give me a life.
These two who bring the colours.
These two who do everything but hurt me.

I never want to live without them.
However, I want to find another sun.
A sun of my own creation
A sun of permanency
A sun of independence
A sun so bright that I never see the dark again.

This is my one true desire.
This is the one consistency I'll have.
For people come and go but I'll stay forever.
My life started with me, and it will end with me.
So, I need to find my own sun.

Their love is not bright enough.
Their love is not consistent enough.
However, much they try it'll never be enough.
At Least until I make my own sun.
