They say Home is where the heart is
So, I ask, what is Home for those without a heart?
They say, light guides you home
So, I ask, what guides you home if all you see is darkness
What is home then for these?

Where others have light, I have darkness
Where others have empathy, I have cruelty
Where others have joy, I have pain
Where others radiate goodness, I radiate evilness

I am a monster
Broken and lost
Dreary and depressed
Heartless and cruel
Selfish and self-centred
I am a monster, more dangerous than most
I can get people to care
I can get people to stay
I can get people to love
I can get people to help
I can get people to insanity

What could be more dangerous?
What could be more dangerous than a monster perpetually unpunished
A monster loved despite everything
A monster trusted despite everything
How many more will this monster lead down the path of destruction?
I keep wondering

I disgrace the world with my presence
The world would flourish without
I know this yet I cannot do it
I could never kill myself
Nor could I wish for death
I'm far too selfish for that
This monster won't die on her own
She'll never die unless the gods intervene
