The trio collapsed.
We might as well have never met.
We might as well have been dreaming.
She left so he broke.
He broke so he left.
Now I stand alone.
I stand alone.
Three becoming one.
Plural becoming single.
Dynasty becoming ruins.
Pleasure becoming pain.
Love becoming betrayal.
For he didn't care enough to stayHe didn't care enough to stay.
For promises were broken
Promises of being there
Promises of staying
Promises of helping
All promises he made to me.
He never cared. He never cared enough it seems.
He never saw me it seems.
No matter what he said.
How could he?
For he so desperately loved her
He loved her I knew.
But I thought he saw me.I thought he saw me.
Not as brightly as her of course
But I thought I mattered.
I thought I was loved.
I was wrong. He'll never come back.
For he never saw me
It was always her.
It has always been her.
It will always be her.
Such is the truth.
