"Okay, the coast is clear," voiced Zhenli after looking from both sides of the corridor. He motioned for Y/n to follow as the two sneakily tried to leave the Jianguo's territory. Y/n followed Zhenli's lead, moving stealthily through the corridors.

The dimly lit passages were adorned with banners and emblems. "You guys seemed to have a focus on military stuff," realised Y/n, making Zhenli nod. "We are," he said before looking over his shoulder.

"Out of the four families under the emperor, we have the military strength," he informed as Y/n furrowed his brows. "Four families? You mentioned that earlier," he remembered as Zhenli raised his hand to stop him. He then pointed toward a narrow path as the two ran toward it.

Checking that the roaming guards didn't notice them, Zhenli sighed in relief. Then, he looked back toward Y/n. "There are four family territories in the Gaia Kingdom," started Zhenli as the two resumed their walk. "Here, as you know, is the Jianguo territory where we focus on military affairs," he informed as a frown grew on his face.

"My father is the commandant of our army. And he mostly wants to take an aggressive approach for those who wronged the geo minks," he said before sighing. "He is convinced that strength will always win over," he said before looking forward.

"In numbers, we might not look like much. But in raw strength and will..." lingered Zhenli before glancing at Y/n. "We are a force to reckon with and could compete with the world's strongest armies," he explained before shaking his head.

"You don't believe this is the best approach, do you?" asked Y/n. "Of course, it's not!" voiced Zhenli a bit too loudly as the two paused to ensure their cover wasn't blown.

"I understand that we had conflicts with other minks. But we should ally instead of fighting against each other," he said before clenching his fists. "I also understand that what happened to us all those centuries ago wasn't fair. And I want to change that," he said before locking eyes with Y/n.

"Negotiating with the people who hurt us is impossible. But if all minks ally each other, then maybe when the Stellar..." paused Zhenli before shaking his head. "The Stellar Herscher? Is that what you were about to say?" asked the captain, which surprised Zhenli.

"How much do you know? Because nobody other than the minks knows about this," he revealed as Y/n grinned. "I told you I met other minks before," he reminded Zhenli, which made him nod. "You did say that," he said with a nod.
