"What's got your panties in a bunch?" Ona nudges me. "Nothing" I snap out of my thoughts. "Babes, I have a huge hangover neh! So mpotšte, wetsalang?" She rubs her forehead while groaning.

"You have to stop mixing your languages, it's confusing me" I try changing the topic. "Mosadi weh, wetsalang?!" She says on purpose.

"Onalerona, I'm fine. I'm just tired, I barley got any sleep last night" I sigh, sitting next to her on the couch. "O-kay ke, well guess who got invited to a birthday bash tonight?!" She sings out.

"Another party? You just got back from a party last night" I frown. "You know what they say 'party until you drop' I haven't dropped yet. Plus, ha ke batle go stressa ka skolo nou. Are you coming or not?" She tips her head back with a small cry.

"I'm not. I don't like partying and you know that. I have an interview coming up tommorow" I hand her the lemon water, sitting on the coffe table.

"A job? Girl you're nineteen and still in school. Why o nyaka mosebetsi?" She immediately sits up. "I asked Tata to set me up for an interview. Perks of being his daughter, I'm tired of spending his money. I can handle school and work, plus it'll only be part time" I explain.

"Iyoh! You can go to work but na? I'm partying until this vacation ends shem!" She clasps her hands together.

"You've been consuming to much alcohol this week. Maybe I should call Koko and tell her to come fetch you, you're getting out of hand" I tease her.

"Don't make me throw you off this couch, you're coming whether you like it or not, it's not up for discussion" She attempts getting up but pauses and holds onto her head.

"Ona. You know I can't handle enclosed spaces" I whine. "It's not that many people and the venue's big. It's gonna be the littest party of the year. Come ooonnnn! Just this once Minnie" She pleads.

"Onalero-" She cuts me off. "Come with me or I'll tell your parents about what happened that day" She warns. I may or may have not told her about last week but I kept the part where I met the mysterious guy that let me live.
