I

admire my now prominent belly as I stare at the full size mirror infront of me. "Your belly looks big for someone who's only nine weeks pregnant" Ona cuts me out of my thoughts.

"I know, but I like it" I turn around to face her. "It makes you look so cute" She sqeals, I smile. "Now onto the real question... When are you going to tell Samkelo?" My face immediately drops.

"Ona..." I frown. "Minnie you have to tell him, you better tell him before he finds out from somewhere else" She warns. "I'm not telling him or anyone for that fact. He'll stress me out" I rub my belly. "O-kay sharp. But please think this through" She hints and I nod in response.

She walks out and I take a bath and get dressed. I walk out to the living room and find Ona sprawled up on the couch while watching TV. I head into the kitchen and make myself something to eat. The doorbell rings just as I sit down.

"I'll get it" Ona offers while getting up and walking towards the door. Just as it's opened, Mama's voice booms throughout the house. I immediately start panicking, I get up and run down to my room.

I hear her talking loudly with Ona before everything stops. I'm now searching for a different outfit, a one that does not show my belly bump. I frantically pull off my clothes and put on my pants. When I'm about to put my shirt on, the door is opened.

I stand there, caught barehanded. "Minentle" She slowly says as she steps into the room. "Ngwana wa Ntando o nyaka go mpolaya, modimo" She gasps whilst clutching onto her purse. "Are you pregnant?" She suddenly asks.

"Mama..." I trail off. "Answer me. Is this why you've been refusing to come home? Huh? Minentle, if your father finds out about this he'll disown you" She exclaims.

"How far are you? We can make a plan and get rid of it" She nods to herself. "I'm not getting rid of my babies, Tata can find out, I don't care" I wave her off. "Morena mphe matla... Ke tla go shapa!-" She cuts herself off.

"Tata wants to marry me off, maybe this pregnancy will stop him. No man wants to marry a woman carrying another man's child" I shrug. "Clearly you don't know your father. I met your father when I was pregnant with Omphile, that did not stop him. Your father is crazy"

"Then why don't you leave him Mama? He's abusive, it's only a matter of time before he starts hitting you. "He wouldn't... Your father and I have been married for more than a decade, and he has never put his hands on me. We may fight and argue a lot but you father will never hit me" I sigh in response.

"I'm still not telling him Mama. You know how he gets, him finding out will only make things worse for me" I sit back down on my bed. "Is this a bad time to tell you that he's in the living room?" She lowly asks. "What?!"

"I came here with him. We were worried about you and Onalerona, I had a feeling that one of you was pregnant and I had to confirm my suspicions" She shrugs. "Mara Mama, why would you bring him here?" I groan.

"Askies, but you have to tell him... Or I will" She dismissively says and walks out of the room. "Mama!" I call out after her. I quickly get dressed into something that does not ahow my belly and head down to the living room.

I sigh in relief when I don't see him there. "I was just joking, but you have to tell him" Mama informs me as her and Ona are seated on the couch, eating my doughnuts. "You scared me"

"Well you should be afraid, when your father finds out, all hell will break loose and you know that. He's in Egypt, he'll return in two weeks time so I decided to visit you two to see how things are going at school"

"But since you're pregnant, we need to have a back up plan... Just in case your father doesn't take this well. I'll call the bank and create two offshore accounts for you two, where we'll deposit a bit of money every month" She continues.

"Won't Tata be informed of the huge funds that are leaving his account?" Ona asks this time. "No, I'll get someone to cover up any traces of any money being stolen from the company" She nods to herself.

"So we're really doing this? Stealing money from the company?" I frown. "Let's ask your father instead, ankere wena you don't want to steal steal money from the company? We'll ask him to personally send the funds into the offshore accounts when he comes back" She sarcastically replies.

"We can't do that to him Mama. Tat'omkhulu is probably rolling in his grave right now, this is wrong. We can do this another way but we're not stealing from Tata" I dismiss.

"You should've thought about that when you were getting pregnant, we don't have a choice" She shrugs. "I was just trying to help, but if you don't want to be helped then it's okay" She gets up, walking towards the door and leaving.

"And then? What was that?" Ona laughs. "Were you also in on that little idea of hers?" I raise an eyebrow at her. "Nna? Never, I may love money but stealing? It's was out of my league" She waves it off. "I need to make a call"

I head down to my room, pull out my phone, dial a number and place it against my ear as it rings.

Tata:
Entle kaTata?

Me:
Tata... Can we talk when you return?

Tata:
I cut my trip short so I'll be back in a week max, I'll tell you when I land.

Me:
Okay...

I trail off before hanging up. I'm really doing this.
