The door opens and Sbonelo walks in, frowning. I lift up my head, wiping my tears. "Minentle? Ufunani la?" He steps closer to me. "P-Please get me out of here" I whisper.
"Let me call Samk-" I immediately cut him off. "No! Don't!... Just get me out of here" I quickly get up, forcing my weak legs to follow behind him. He helps me get into his car before driving off. "I'll call Samkelo and tell him I took you home"
"Tell him to stay away from me while you're at it" I get out of the car not giving him a chance to respond. I get into the house walking towards the kitchen, grabbing a knife.
I head up to Samkelo's room. I take a shower and get dressed. I dryly swallow as I asses the forming bruise on my wrist. I hide the knife under the pillow. I sit on the bed, curling up into a little ball, finally letting all my tears fall.
I let it all out, sobbing until my throat hurts. The door to the bedroom opens and I keep my gaze on the window. "Themba lami" Hhayi, he has the nerve to drag me around like a child and now he wants to act like nothing happened.
Themba lami? Nx. I ignore him. I'm done with him, I'm booking the first flight out to Western Cape tommorow. I feel the blanket being slowly lifted off of me. His hand reaches for me but I slap it away.
"Ngiyaxolisa, ngicela sikhulume" He sits me up, facing him. I click my tongue in annoyance. "Naledi, I shouldn't have put my hands on you like tha-" I cut him off.
"I don't want your apology. Just leave me alone, was the message not delivered to you?! Bona" I put up my wrist for him to see how blue and purple it is. "You did this to me" I put my hand down.
"I'm leaving and you will not stop me this time because I am done with you and your nonsense" His jaw ticks. "Awuyi ndawo" He deadpans. "Says who? The same person that manhandled me a few hours ago?" I laugh to myself.
"I don't not-" I cut him off. "Kanti didn't you hear me? Go Samkelo, I don't want you anywhere near me" I gritt out. He sits down next to me, placing a short kiss onto my forehead. I push him away.
"I have a knife and I'm not afriad to use it" I threaten. He chuckles, placing kisses down my jaw. "Ntlogele marn!" I scream. He looks down at me, frowning in annoyance. "Who the hell do you think you're talking to like that? Huh?" His face harderns.
"What will you do to me? Will you drag me back to your office and leave me there overnight? Mxm" I turn away from him.."You're not going anywhere Naledi, and I mean it. If you try to leave this house I'll hunt you down and drag you back here?"
"Why the fuck can't you just leave me alone? I'm sick and tired of you marn! O nkeme mmo! I'm fed up with you and your bullshit, Nx. You should've just shot me and ended my misery altogether" I don't get to finish my sentence when he places his lips on mine.
He shortly pulls away before looking down at me. "No one has ever had the guts to talk to me like that" He smirks. "I don't care. Please, just step away from me. You're in my personal space" I motion to his breathing on my neck.
"Ngiyakuthanda" He buries his head into my neck. "Get off of me" I calmly say. "Angifuni" He muffles into my neck. "Awufuni?" I mock him.
He ignores me and wraps his arms around me. "Ngithe ngiyakuthanda" He repeats. I struggle against his grip, trying to get away from him. I slowly inch for the knife under my pillow, gripping onto it tightly.
I tightly close my eyes before burying the knife into his shoulder, not enough to kill him but enough for him to let go of me. He winces, loosening his hold around me. "Fuck" He clutches onto his shoulder. I stare at the blood dripping down his chest.
"Shit... I-I'm so sorry" I drop the knife, rushing into the bathroom, looking for a first aid kit, I find it under the cabinet and quickly get back to him to treat his wound.
I inspect the wound and pull off his shirt before I quickly start treating it, ignoring his hardened gaze on me. He swiftly picks me up and places me on his lap. I continue stitching his cut with his other hand resting on my waist.
His grip on my waist tightens when the needle meets with his skin. I patch him up and put the first aid kit away and walk back into the room. He's sitting on the bed, watching my every move. I walk towards him and before I can say anything, he pulls me down onto his lap.
"If anyone else was to stab me, I wouldn't think twice before placing a bullet into their skull." he chuckles to himself. "I'm sorry" I croak out. "I'll make an exception for you because I love you" He pecks my lips twice.
"Please go shower and get the smell of blood off you. It's making me uncomfortable" I dryly swallow. He ignores my statement and runs his lips down my jaw. He pushes me down on his hard on. "Samkelo" I whisper.
"Mhm?" He looks up at me. "Why'd do you it?" He frowns in response. "Why'd you drag me out of here? What did I do?" I rephrase. "Naledi" He gritts out. "Mpolelle. Ke entseng?" I raise my voice.
He pulls me off of his lap and places me back down on the bed before getting up and walking out of the room. "Samkelo!" I call out, following behind him.
I hear the front door slam shut and his car drive away.
