FLOR.
"I feel like we haven't seen you in a while" Robert says as soon as I sit at the table, and I know it's kinda true, I haven't seen them as much as I used to.
"I know, I have missed you too but between the store and personal stuff I couldn't make it to dinner last week and then you had to reschedule for the kids' event, but I did come the week before and you were on a trip."
"I wasn't putting all the blame on you, it's just that I'm not use to not see you for a couple of weeks anymore."
"Well, you're gonna have to since we're gonna be leaving for a few months." Susan enters our conversation.
"Oh... you guys are leaving?"
"In a couple of weeks right after our Halloween party., the marvel family is gonna have one last movie all together."
"The marvel family? Is it an iron man movie? Or an avenger's movie?"
"You know I shouldn't be saying anything, but I'm gonna appeal that you also work for marvel and have signed an NDA" I chuckle while nodding. "It's an avengers movie."
Chris hasn't said anything to me but maybe he doesn't know yet. "That sounds like so much fun and I'll definitely miss you guys."
"Can't auntie Flor come too?" Avri asks.
"Well auntie Flor has to work." Susan tries to ease the pressure for me.
"But she also works for marvel, why can she work from there?" Exton has a special bond with me, and I know is harder for him to be a part.
"Guys maybe I can go visit you once you're settle, but even though I do work for marvel it's a different job than your dad's, I'm in charge of making flowers arrangements and bouquets for the cast to receive or sometimes they want flowers on the premiere." I can hear them groan but Avri soon gets an idea.
"And what if we stay here with you?" I just turn to the Downeys to see them in shock.
Susan is the first to realize I won't be saying no "Avri Downey, you can't stay behind for months just because you don't want to leave your aunt. She'll come visit and we'll come visit, that's all I want to hear of this conversation."
"But..." Robert interrupts her before it gets bigger.
"Avri Roel Downey don't talk back to your mom" both kids stay quiet the rest of the night and ask to leave the table as soon as they're done eating.
"I'm sorry I didn't want tonight to be a battle."
"It's okay, we know the kids are really close with you and it'll be hard either here or in Atlanta so is better they're prepare for what's to come" Robert says patting my hand. "We didn't ask because of the kids, but you mention some personal stuff before, is everything okay?"
"Yes, of course. I'm just getting use to fit a personal life while running a business."
"Anything we need to know?" Susan asks while winking at me.
I chuckle while shaking my head. "Nope, nothing to report. But as soon as that changes, I'll let you know."
"How's the business going?" Robert asks.
"It's wonderful, I'm going to hire a few more people. Even with Laurel and Susana we're running short and even though I'm scared it's growing so fast, I'm glad that it's working."
"We always knew it was gonna work, your passionate about it, besides you put so much detail in everything that people can't help fall in love with your work."
