CHRIS.

It's been a couple of weeks since Flor's parents went back to Mexico, neither of them wanted to but they had to go back to work.

Thank God.

Flor has been working overtime, not sure if it's to keep her mind busy or just to work, Susana has been doing surprisingly well with the chemotherapy but in a couple of weeks she has to take the tests again to see how everything is working.

Today the Downeys came back from Atlanta and I couldn't take Flor away from the store and I know everyone in the family misses her but  she really needs Robert, even with me being here and her talking to me about everything I could sense something was off, so I went an picked him up just to drop him at the store.

ROBERT.

"How bad is it?"

"I honestly don't know, I don't even know if something's is wrong, I just know she needs you."

I nod "does it bother you?"

I watch him think for a minute before shaking his head "I get it, you've always been a voice of reason and sometimes we get to much into our heads even surrounded by people we love, if she needs you to go back to being herself I'm on board with that."

"Thanks Chris, it means a lot that you understand and respect our bond." He nods and parks outside the store "are you coming with me?"

"No, I'll be close if you need me to take you back, but take your time, I really want the both of you to reconnect."

"I'll let you know." It's all I say before getting of the car and walking to the store entrance, as soon as I open the door I can se Laurel and she smiles widely and runs over to hug me.

"Hey, nice to see you." She whispers and I frown.

"Good to see you too, why are we whispering?"

"She didn't told me you were coming so I assumed it was a surprise." I nod "she's in the back."

"In her office?"

"Nop, in the backroom working on a few projects."

I nod "how is she?"

She sighs "well... she's hanging in there" I narrow my eyes at her "honestly is more about the thing with Chris than the thing with Susana."

I frown "what thing with Chris?"

She opens her eyes widely "oh... um... can you act like I didn't say anything?" I sigh before nodding "great! Now go before I keep spilling the beans." I kiss her cheek before going to the back.

I can hear the music before I can see her but as soon as I do i can see she's "on the zone" so I just lean on the doorframe and wait until she notice me.

"Do you need something Lu?" She hasn't turn around but she sensed someone was here.

"Not Lu sweetie." She turns around immediately and drops the tools on her hands.

"Robbie!" She runs to me and I don't even care that she's cover in dirt I hug her tightly. "I missed you so much."

"I missed you too." I let her go but she's hugging me still so I put my arms around her again until she's ready.

It takes a minute but I don't mind "sorry, I just really needed your hugs and smell."

"I'm not complaining, how are you?" She walks to the stool and pulls the one close to her for me to sit.
