Chapter 30

FLOR.

Tonight, Chris and I are having dinner with the Downey family, and he wanted us to match so he bought me a dress and he's wearing a tie on the same color.

We're on our way to their house when I start talking "So I was thinking maybe we should go visit your family, you haven't seen them since Christmas."

"Oh, I haven't thought about going maybe flying them here to visit us. We'll talk about it after Susana's last scan in a few weeks."

I smile because he's so thoughtful when it comes to my sister's health "I like the sound of that."

We arrive and he helps me get off the car "thank you handsome."

"Always, baby."

Exton opens the door for us "Hey tonsbroncs."

"Hey Flory, you look beautiful."

"Thank you sweetie."

"Please come in, I'm gonna go find Avri, my parents are on the backyard." He runs as soon as he's done talking and I frown a little but maybe it's because he's still not use to Chris.

"Come on baby, let's go to the back." I nod and let him lead the way.

As soon as we cross the door to the garden, I see a carpet leading to a flower display with a "F&C" shape into it. "Chris, what did you do?"

He looks nervous "Do you like it?"

"I love it baby, it's beautiful." We're still holding hands and he starts to walk to the center of the beautiful display.

CHRIS.

"I love you Flor."

She smiles widely and leaves a soft kiss on my lips "I love you too."

"Flor, you're everything I have ever wanted in a partner, you push me to be the best version of myself I can be, you're my best friend, and I know it will always be you." I get down on one knee.

"Oh my god, what is happening." She says with watery eyes.

"Baby, will you marry me?"

"Yes, of course I'll marry you." I haven't even taken the box out when she's already hugging me. "I love you, Chris."

"I love you Flor." I stand the both of us up and kiss her softly before taking the box out and placing the ring on her finger, she stares at it and then at me, and again to the ring even putting it closer to her eyes. "Yes baby, is your abuelita's ring."

She looks at me wide eyed before chuckling "of course you would've got me the ring of my dreams." She grabs my face and kiss me one more time before I pick her up and turn us around so she can see our families. "How? When? Oh my god!"

I laugh a little because her reactions are worth all the anxiety and stress I had over the last few days.

The first ones to come over to us are our parents and they congratulate the both of us, our moms are both crying with happy tears, and I can even see her dad with watery eyes but that's it.

Then we hug and talk a little with our siblings plus Laurel and my nephews and niece. I can see how much my sisters love Flor. I already knew Scott loved her, and every kid loves Flor, she has that charm on her that they all adore.
