"Listen to the ground-"
He pointed to the grass and I tenderly pressed the fingers of my right hand down until each pad was touching dry dirt, whatever area we were in felt like it hadn't seen a whiff of rain in a very long time; I had to slow my breathing down but I felt tiny waves of vibration that made my eyes go wide. He then pointed over my shoulders and tapped the back of my left hand gently three times with a finger, since Morse was one of the things I fancied in my early college days I knew that he was trying to tell me that they were coming from behind me. A few more taps and I removed my hands when the vibrations got stronger and growling sounds started to reach my ears; the closer they got, the more I was edging myself into Jay's side until I was basically halfway under his body. Tears sprang up into my eyes but he just shook his head side to side and moved one of his hands to cover my mouth.
"Shh..."
Shadows played across my vision untilI turned to bury my face into the crook of his neck and I saw nothing but black as the noises grew louder, I could feel myself being on the edge of a full blown break down but his warmth was helping prevent it. I felt one of his arms snake around my waist when the noises began to disappear and when I raised my face up I heard soft cries of terror.
"Mom!"
Louder cries rang through the air and I shoved away from Jay just as a little girl stumbled over the railing a little further down the road with a few walkers following her; she had tears streaking down her face and a little doll clutched in one of her hands.
"Sophia!"
"Belle- wait, you haven't had the time to get used to the-"
Carol peeped her gray head over the railing but my body was moving on its own accord, I felt the same burning vibrations deep within my bones this time but I had an idea of what to expect; the pressure began at the back of my skull and Sophia barely made it to the first lines of trees before I flung myself foreward and let the feelings succumb to my body.

Daryl's POV:
"God damn it!"
Jay tore the clothes from his body before he changed into a dark brown wolf and ran off after Belle, Rick had followed after them both soon after Belle had left and everyone else was crowded around the railing trying to see what had happened; Lori was rubbing Carol's shoulders as she cried.
"...walkers....walkers are after my baby!"
"Belle and the others are after her, we'll find her but we need you to calm down ok? Actually-"
Lori looked over her shoulder at me before she averted her gaze to Andrea and Dale who were a bit further back.
"We should send out a little search party....I think. But I don't want to go near either of those things..."
"Hang on a minute.''
I stepped closer and inclined my head to the left before I dug a finger into my ear and pretended to scoop out a lump of wax.
"Things? The last time I checked, she's normal just like everyone else here- do I need to remind you that she helped save your ass back at the camp?"
Lori huffed and tightened her hold on Carol's shoulders.
"They're not human, and I don't trust either one of them around the children, m y son."
My temper flared up again and I opened my mouth to hurl a retort when a soft howling sound filled the air with a soft breeze that stirred up from the South; the sound was like static to my ears, so I carefully hiked a leg over the railing and readied my crossbow before slipping the rest of the way down the grassy hill.

Belle's POV:
You need to calm down, right n o w before your temper gets any worse!
Sophia was nowhere in sight but when I caught up to two of the walkers that were chasing her I ripped them apart into tiny little chunks and crushed their rotting skulls like grapes under-foot; anger was boiling through every fiber of my being like a wild forest fire. I saw nothing but thick black fur and giant paws with sharp talons for claws where my hands should be and my body felt all wrong- raw power was coarsing through my limbs.
Back the hell off if you know what's good for you, get out of my god damn head.
A smaller but somewhat big chocolate brown wolf slid in between the trees and I snapped a fragmented arm from a pile of muck before flinging it at it.
That's gonna be damn near impossible to do- we can only share the thoughts that we want to with eachother that we want and you're an open channel right now...It's me, Jay, you know me Belle.
The wolf tilted his head to the side and took a few steps closer but I didn't bother to move, he kept coming at me and when he was close enough I noticed that he was a whole two heads shorter then me; even my muscles seemed to be thicker then his.
Did you see Rick? He ran by here a minute ago I think.
Can't say that I did- How do I change back out of this?
Calming down for starters- and another thing, you're gonna wanna save your clothes if you can. They don't just pop in and out of existence with us.
Jay nosed me in the ribs and I snapped my jaws at him before I bounced away out of his reach and swung my head to the left and to the right, I heard several footsteps heading into the trees but none of them sounded like they were from the undead; Jay's ears twitched and his lip pulled back to reveal dagger like canine teeth.
They must be sending out a search party or something, let's go back and wait for them to be done. I don't like how that kid just ran off like that but I'm not trying to have either of us get shot because we blend in too well.
