Slicing with both of his front paws the fallen tree trunk all but turned into a pile of shredded saw dust, he shook wood splinters out of his fur before he sat back on his haunches and looked at all the rubble surrounding us.

Feel any better?

Since we were on four legs instead of our usual two, I could feel everything that was going through both his mind and body and I saw nothing but tv static tinged with crimson red; not once had Jay thought about Holly and I knew that he had to before he could heal.

Not really....I wish she took the offer I gave her though, we could have been happy....alive together, at least.

I padded up to him and nosed him in the ribcage to get him back up to his feet and he snapped at me.

Calm down, think about it would you? We don't seem to change, our bodies never seem to age....I know that you loved her but I don't think that would have been a good idea for her. You know how hard it is for us.

He turned on me then and pulled his lip back over his massive teeth, a growl bubbling up through his throat.

Do you think it's better having her dead then? Is that what this is?

No, of course not.

I licked the left side of his face and it stunned him enough to just drop the scowl and his tail flopped straight down, but my ears were picking up on a lot of force rolling through the trees near by. I couldn't place it....where were so many tires coming from? He must have heard the noise too because his ears twitched before he turned his head around to try and pinpoint the source.

We don't have that many vehicles...one of them sounds really heavy.

The noise stopped and was replaced with a low hum that made the fur along the back of my neck stand on end with a nasty chill. Something wasn't right somewhere..

We'll have time to talk about this later, I think we might have a problem on our hands.

"We've all done the worst kinds of things just to stay alive, but that can change....I've taken in some of his people before, and they've become leaders in what we have here. Please.."

I kept my eyes on the massive green tank that was close to the main fencing from a set of bushes half a football field away and Jay kept eyeing the man who was on top, neither of us bothered to change back when we got back and found the Governer in mid-conversation with Rick. I could smell fear on the wind but I couldn't tell if it came from some of his people or from Hershel and Michonne who were on  their knees between everyone. Hershel had her sword pressed into the right side of his neck but he didn't seem too worried about it, I could feel the panic from our people even from here; the Governer lowered the sword and for a second I thought he was considering Rick's offer.

"Liar."

He lifted the sword high up into the air and brought it down with a sickening squelch right through the side of Hershel's neck, the next thing I was aware of were screams from all around and gunfire as soon as I saw the blood spewing from the wound.

No...

He sliced at his neck again when his body fell to the grass and pure anger started flowing through my muscles, my haunches bunched up while the tank rolled over our fences and a dark cloud covered my brain. Killing walkers was one thing, but another human? Before the last fence came down in the main compound gunfire was popping off everywhere like loud fireworks and my body decided to act right then and there.

Belle no! We need to plan an escape route- they don't think we're still  around, it's the perfect chance!

He does, I'm sure of it. He escaped once but he dies today.

I howled the loudest I've ever bothered to try before before kicking off with such speed and force that dirt flew behind me like a trailing cloud and I concentrated on picking my first target, a rough looking woman to the back of the group who were huddled around the tank as it drove into the main compound. She noticed me flying across the grass and managed to shoot me in the shoulder before I took her down, the bullet stung like a bitch passing through me but my paws knocked the gun from her hand before she could do anymore damage; I ripped her throat to shreds with my long nails until her screams turned into a gargled mess that was quickly drowned out by a massive boom from the tank. All guns were deafening my ears so I didn't even hear it when Jay ran up to me and tackled me away from the woman's mangled body.

Enough god damn it, we need to go n o w. Every walker for miles around is gonna flood this area now because of all the fucking noise.

I howled again but said nothing else and just kept howling until a sharp jab in my ribs forced me to choke off my supply of air, I had no idea where Daryl was or if he was even still alive and I didn't want to leave without finding SOMETHING out- this place had been the hopes of many to grow old in...

I'm giving you no more then ten mintues before I drag you out of here with my teeth, we could follow the tracks and see if any of them find us there but we can't stay. Belle, I'm sorry, but we need to leave.

*

"Come on."

I nearly tripped over the tracks and Jay had to catch me by the elbow to keep me from busting my ass and falling flat on my face, he pulled me around to the middle of the tracks before he let go. We'd been walking for a few hours now and my legs wanted to give out from the exhaustion.
