Knocking sounded on the door and a blonde woman poked her head in through a crack in the door.
"Sir will be back soon, is she ready yet?"
"Mhm, all done. She just needs to change into the clothes and she'll be on her way up."
The woman smiled before she vanished and the doctor dropped his smile before he got up and handed me the clothes.
"Put these one- it'll be your good grace for however long you're here."
"But....what about my people? My baby?"
The older man sighed and patted a hand softly on the top of my head before backing up to the door.
"You'll just have to wait for the right time, I'll try to keep the pregnancy hidden but there's only so much I can do without risking my own life. They're not the easiest people to get along with here."
He was halfway out the door but before he shut it again he chuckled and whispered.
"I had a feeling it was Jay's child, I'm glad you two finally ended up together."

The clothes turned out to be a form snug black strapless dress, dangling gold rings to put in my hair, then black heels with a red underside, and more tiny clips to put my hair up into a bun with; my thoughts kept straying to Jay and the others while the same man from earlier walked me into some large room. To one side stood a bed so vast that it could have easily held a half dozen people in it and to the left was a table big enough for a large family party, Negan was in the middle of it with some papers at his elbows and he waved the guy off when he saw me.
"Have a seat, we need to talk about a few things."
Careful of how the dress hugged the lower half of my body, I sat down in one of the chairs across from him and folded my hands across my lap while he looked at me from over his fingers.
"So normally women who come through here are given a few choices, they can join the fraction of the people who actively work for me without any types of set backs, but the labor can get pretty intense, or they can join the group I call my wives. The wives don't have to worry about anything other then keeping up their looks and be on time any moment I call them."
He shuffled through some of the papers that were on the table before he set them aside and looked at me with a sheepish smile.
"You were taken against your will, so I'm going to be gracious for a change and give you the extra option to go back home. From my understanding-"
He gestured to the papers and snickered a little.
"The man that I have here with a purpose is the reason you're pregnant, no? That complicates things if you do stay- because I don't share any part of my wives with anyone, you see."
I touched my belly and resisted the urge to frown at the table, so much for the doctor trying to be secretive; unless someone had been spying on us the entire time.
"...how were they, my people?"
"Alive for the time being, and there was one young man that was really worried about seeing you...."
"That's a close friend of mine that I've known since we were both kids...I have..just the one request."
"I'll hear you out."
"....I'll become a wife or whatever you want if that's what it takes for you to leave my people alone, or at the very least leave them alive. But I just want to see Daryl for a few minutes, please."
Negan's eyes narrowed a little bit after some thinking his face relaxed and he laughed, a booming echo sound that hurt my ears a little.
"Sure, but just remember the rules. The second you break any of them I'm not going to protect you from the men here, alright?"
*
"Oh my god...what have they d o n e to you Daryl?"
Kneeling in the half dark broom closet Daryl was huddled into the furthest corner dressed it dirty sacks from the looks of it, he blinked when he first saw me and when I tried touching his forehead he flinched away from me; I didn't even want to imagine the things they'd done to him.
".....you don't want to know, but don't call me that....what are you doing here?"
I swept a loose strand of hair over my shoulder and rubbed at the goosebumps that popped up on my right arm.
"Remember the men you first saved me from years ago when we first met? The one that got away that day was the one who caught me and took me here...I had a choice to make, but I wanted to see you first."
Daryl tried to hold onto my hands but I shook my head and stood up out of his reach and clasped my hands behind my back so he wouldn't be tempted again.
"Don't, I'm trying to be good here."
"There's gonna be no point....we'll get out of here soon, don't worry about it."
*4 Days Later*
It was maybe dark by the time I heard something clopping up the hall, three of the wives were in the same bedroom as me but the other half were with Negan in the big room; I learned the quickest pattern to stay alive within the first day of being here. My belly was now a little bit bigger and I felt the baby being more active at night and even though the men left me alone for the most part, the wives had taken to protecting me when I was off on my own because I was the youngest so far. I had three square meals a day and although some of them didn't approve of my staying here in my condition they never said anything about it outside this room.
