Turning Pages of Anne Frank
"The Jews and Christians are waiting."
Said by Anne Frank
Said with a hope around her kitty, revolvingAs I read between the pages, quietly revolving
My heart with every turn, sank
I'm here for the happy ending, hoping, waitingAs she stared into the dustless window, fog, waiting
She saw every face, full of nothing, but blank
The world never halted for peace, continued revolvingThe sweetness of peas continued its revolving
Sweet mercy covered in the rummaging tank
Agony, seamless, quietly waitingThe glee sprinkled on her face, halted, waiting
Her pen, stacking but one by one yank
For the darkness, lurking, silently revolvingThe glimmer in your eyes, on me, will continue on shinning
Our distance between the page, statically blank
Let me tell you, Anne, The Jews and Christians, now stopped waiting
But through the lens of my window, I still see that world revolving- Villanelle
