He looks at me with his best puppy eyes but they aren't effective right now.

"What about her Zachary? Why haven't I heard about her ever since the last incident with you two?", I begin interrogating him.

"I had her removed from the pack house and demoted after she upset you last. She's been apologizing profusely and claiming to have changed to get back in the pack house", he states with a scoff as he looks away.

Demoted? What the fuck?

"I never asked you to do that. Did I hate her guts? Yes. But I never wanted you to demote her, let alone kick her out. She was still a high ranking pack member and resided in the pack house for safety, my feelings toward her need not change that", I state coldly.

Tanner speaks up again, "That may be true but she was only ever high ranking because she was adopted into a rich family who became warriors here. She only wants to be back in the pack house so that she has access to their money again and to be considered important. That bitch will never work a day in her life".

Oh so not only is she a bitch but she's a privileged bitch? I really should have seen that coming. Though suddenly I get an idea..

"Well we could always fix that", I say with a smirk.

They both look at me like I've gone insane.

"How do you suppose we do that?", Tanner asks curiously.

"It's simple really. She wants back in the pack house to get money and wants to be important, we need warriors to help defend the pack", I state with the same evil smirk.

Both of their jaws drop simultaneously.

"You can't be implyi-", Zach begins to speak but I cut him off.

"Yes, I am. We let her come back and in return she gets shoved into training for a bit and becomes one of our warriors. It's a win for all of us, plus I'd finally be able to beat her ass!", I say happily.

Tanner smirks at the last part but Zach remains looking shell shocked.

"Lucy you know she won't be able to handle it. She could even die", he tries to reason with me.

"Yeah and why should I care Zach? She needs to earn her money, not be a greedy little bitch and feed off the pack", I look at him in disgust but he remains shocked.

After a few moments he shrugs and smiles before walking up to me slowly, this time I stand still and let him. He hugs me gently so I sigh and let myself relax in his arms

"You know, you can be a pretty cold hearted Luna when you want to be", he whispers to me softly.

I giggle and notice Tanner smiling at us. After a few seconds, Tanner stands hesitantly.

"Can I go now orr?", he asks nervously.

I nod to which he instantly takes as a yes and hurries out of the room, shutting the door behind him.

One Week Later

The attacks have gotten worse, much worse. Our pack is becoming weaker by the day, hardly any of the warriors are left standing anymore. One large attack and our pack may topple in defeat at this rate. Rose shockingly passed training and has been at the pack borders daily, helping defend against the attacks. Tanner is also at the border patrolling and fighting every day, Zach occasionally joining him to help. He has refused to let me take part in the fights thus far but he knows I will fight when the time comes.

We are now sitting in his office, looking through the piles of reports from the attacks. Security breaches, injured civilians, injured warriors, lives lost.

"What do we do Zach? We're running out of options, out of time.", Tanner rants while pacing back and forth.

"If only our warriors were immortal like Onyx's", I say in a low whisper.

"Wait, that might be it. She's onto something", he states softly and begins typing things into his computer.

"What? It was just a thought that accidently slipped out. We can't actually make an immortal army or anything Zach", I say as I stare at him in confusion.

"You're right, we can't. But we can use one that's already made", he says with a look of determination in his eyes.

I continue staring at him like he's grown a second head or something as he picks up his phone and begins dialing a number. I look over at Tanner and see him sharing the same look as I while he stands as still as a statue made of stone or marble, the same ones you'd see in a museum or a temple of sorts.

After a few seconds Zach takes a deep breath before speaking one introductory word I highly expected but followed by an unexpected name, "Hello Onyx".

I look at him in bewilderment as the name repeats in my head. Why on Earth would he be calling Onyx of all people? Last I checked, he hates him and everyone of his kind.

"Yes, it is a pleasure to speak to you as well. Unfortunately, the purpose of this call wasn't for mere chit-chat it seems. I'm assuming you've heard the recent events in my pack, yes?", he asks through the phone calmly.

I hate only hearing one side of the conversation, I can never imagine what the other person is saying or feeling. In fact, usually I imagine the worst case scenario. I guess I can be a bit of a pessimist sometimes after all.

"Oh, my fault, I thought you would be keeping tabs on us considering your.. interest in Lucy. I would say we have similar motives here, keeping her safe. Wouldn't you agree?", he says confidently.

After a few seconds, he begins speaking again as his eyes wander across the papers on his desk.

"I'm glad we can agree on something for once. Perhaps, we can agree once more. I would like to propose an addition to our treaty, we need your help."

Zach reaching out to his worst enemy for help, whattt?! Haha anyways, I hope you guys enjoy the chapter as well as the fact I've been keeping up with the whole one a week thing! The past few weeks I've managed to write a whole chapter in like 1-2 days (Monday-Tuesday) but I just finished this one onnn Friday. I was kind of in a rough spot with this one, trying not to make it seem so drawn out but not too short either. I think I did pretty good on it and the next few chapters will be good, stick around to see them! Love you all, have a good day or night everyone!
