Broken Luna

Chapter 16

I turn to the person to see my mom smiling at me sadly. I smile back softly as she lets go and walks into a different room. Zach comes around the corner smiling as he pulls me to him by the hips. 

He kisses my neck gently before mumbling against my skin, "Everything's in the truck princess".

I nod as a shiver runs through my body, enjoying his touch. He must notice as he chuckles before placing another soft kiss on my neck and holding me tightly against him. I lay my head to the side so he has more access causing him to raise an eyebrow at me. To my surprise, he kisses me on the cheek before letting me go. He grabs my hand, pulling me along with him as he walks towards the front door. We walk out and I notice the U-Haul is gone. I turn to Zach in confusion to which he chuckles and motions towards his car.

"We're taking my car and Katie took the U-Haul", he shakes his head while smiling at me.

Once we arrive at the pack house, my new home, Zach has some of the pack warriors bring in my things. I try to deny it and take them in myself but am quickly turned down by Zach. I walk into the room, now filled with boxes, and sigh. Zach follows close behind before walking into the closet. I grab a box and follow him in. He moves some things over to make room for my things before walking out to grab a box. After about an hour, we finish unpacking the majority of my things. I face plant into the bed causing Zach to chuckle. I flip myself over as I feel pressure on the bed next to me. Looking up, I realize Zach is hovering over me. His face containing that same smirk that sends chills down my spine. I look down at his lips before returning eye contact. He looks nervous as he looks down at me and bites his lip for a second. I place my hands on his waist as I look up at him in confusion.

"There's just one other thing that has to happen before you can become Luna", he whispers nervously.

I forrow my brows and whisper back, "What's that?".

He leans in so that his lips are almost touching mine before whispering, "I have to mark what's mine".

I lay frozen beneath him. I know he's right but at the same time, we just met. Most wolves do immediately mate and mark their mate but I don't want to be "most wolves". Does Zach make me feel things that no one else could? Yes. Though does it make me feel dirty sleeping with someone I just met, also yes. If needed, I guess I would have to do it. He is my mate after all. I push myself forward a little so that I can reach him as I press my lips on his gently. We continue kissing, getting rougher by the second. After a minute or two, we pull away breathlessly.

He looks down at me nervously, "If you're not ready to mate yet, we can always do the marking without it. You wouldn't get the full amount of strength you should get but it would work out".

I shake my head quickly, "No. I need to be as strong as possible for our pack and I wouldn't mind being one hundred percent linked to you in every way possible".

He smiles happily before flipping us over. I smirk as I rest my hand on his chest as I grind myself against him slowly.

He smiles and holds my waist but his eyes remain a wirl of emotions.

He looks up at me curiously, "Are you sure you're ready?".

"Yes", I quickly say before pressing my lips against his deeply.

One Week Later 

When I say that was the best night of my life, I absolutely mean it. He's everything I've ever wanted and more. Plus, now he's mine in every way. Today is the day I officially become Luna of my pack. I couldn't be more excited but I also couldn't be more nervous. Everyone has told me I will be a great Luna and I sure hope they're right. Since Zach and I will have many new responsibilities, our school let us finish the remainder of our classes online. Since we didn't have much left for the year anyways, it only took us a few days of focusing to complete it all. So now we've graduated and get promoted to Alpha and Luna. Could this week get any busier? 

Standing in front of the mirror, it's like I'm a whole new person. My beautiful grey dress flows down to my ankles as my hair flows down my shoulders. The dress tight as it hugs my curves perfectly. A small slit on the sides, going up to my knees. Silver gems sit in various spots on it with black swirls around them. A full moon directly under my breasts in the middle of the dress. I'm usually not one for long sleeves in summer but the sleeves go so well with it. The shoulders of the dress are cut out, exposing my skin. The sleeves widen at my wrists, flowing downwards.

"Stunning right?", Katie shreeks from next to me before pulling me into a tight hug.

I hug her back, smiling. I hear someone else walk in so I turn my head and see Lucian walking in hesitantly. Within the past week, I decided it would not be necessary for me to have a service animal anymore. Zach says he will be by my side anytime I need someone. Lucian was excited to hear this as it meant he could move in with his mate and live a normal life. He smiles widely as soon as he sees me.

"Wow, you look amazing Lucy", he says almost breathlessly.

I feel my cheeks heat up as I look away smiling. Katie backs up from me to continue admiring my dress. Maddy and Tanner come in behind Lucian and gasp as they see me.

Tanner smirks at me, "Zach won't be able to keep his hands off of you".

I suddenly smell that same addictive smell that I love so much.

"What won't I be able to do?", he says as he walks into the room.
