Broken Luna

Chapter 10

I stare up at him in shock, "W-What?".

"I said are you ready to move in, here, with me?", he smiles happily.

We haven't even discussed me moving in yet, where did this come from?

"Uh I don't know yet we haven't discussed it", he looks down at me in confusion.

He then looks as if realization dawned on him, "Oh you didn't hear what my parents had mentioned before we left. I thought you zoned out later than that".

I shake my head as he smiles.

"They said since you'll be becoming the Luna in a week you need to move in before then, the sooner the better", I nod knowing he's right.

I look up at him nervously, "So when do we start?".

He smirks causing me to blush again.

"As soon as you're ready baby, plus I still need to meet your parents", I nod and look around his arm to see it's still daylight.

"You could come meet them now, stay at my place tonight, and move my stuff in tomorrow", he smiles before looking at me hesitantly.

"As badly as I want to be with you at all times, I need to start transferring some of the pack paperwork from my dad's office to mine. I can come meet them I just can't stay at your place again tonight", I pout sadly causing him to chuckle.

I reach up and hold his waist, pulling him closer. He moves his arms so that he's using his forearms to hold himself up. He puts one knee between my legs and the other against my right thigh. He presses the one between my legs, against my area causing me to blush and almost break. I retract one of my hands and place it on the side of his face, rubbing his cheek with my thumb. I notice his cheeks become slightly pink so I smirk before slipping my hand behind his head. I pull his face to mine just enough for our lips to brush against each other but still enough room to speak.

"How about I stay here, with you, tonight?", he smiles and attempts to kiss me but I tilt my head to the side so he misses.

"I'd love to have you in my bed for the night", he smirks and I roll my eyes.

"Let's not get ahead of ourselves handsome", I press my lips against his gently as he kisses back.

I pull away after a few seconds and smile.

"You still have to meet my parents today", he chuckles before getting off the bed and standing up.

He extends his hand to me which I happily take. The ride to my house is silent, just enjoying eachother's presence. Once we arrive we walk hand in hand to the front door. Before I can even knock the door is swung open, revealing my smiling mother.

"Hi there! It's such a pleasure to meet you Alpha", she hugs him tightly causing me to growl slightly.

"Sorry mom it's just instincts", she pulls away from him and nods understandingly.

"Please call me Zachary, Mrs. Heart", she agrees which makes him happy.

We go in and sit on the couch together, "Where's dad?".

"Oh honey he went to the store but he should be back any time now", I nod as we relax in our seats.

"Well mom I have big news, in one week from today I will become the pack's Luna", she gasps in shock before hugging me tightly.

"But with that being said, I have to move into the pack house as soon as possible", she nods understandingly and agrees.

"When do you want to start?", She asks curiously and slightly impatiently.

"I brought Zach to meet you today, tonight I'm staying at the pack house with him, and tomorrow I'll be back to get all my things", she smiles happily but I see a tear fall from her eye so I hug her tightly for a few moments.

"I'll pack some of your items in boxes tonight so some of it will be ready for you when you get here", I agree that it'll be helpful and thank her.

My dad comes home and meets Zach which goes great. On the way back to the pack house I hold Zach's hand and turn to look up at him.

"So you're going to be busy when we get there? What should I go while you're gone?", he seems to be lost in thought for a minute or two before coming back to reality.

"I will be busy for an hour or two. You could walk around the pack house and meet some people since you'll be their Luna soon", he smiles happily as I nod agreeing with him.

We arrive and Zach leaves me in the kitchen to begin my adventure around the pack house. I meet a lot of people who stop and talk to me, glad that I'll be their new Luna soon. One little girl that I meet, brings me to tears. She notices me have my normal verbal tic "wow" and comes running up to me. She quickly hugs my legs catching me off guard but I lean down and hug her back as best I can.

"Hi there honey, what's your name?", she pulls away smiling.

"My name is Eve and I'm 8 years old", I smile at her and notice a woman in her mid twenties run up to us.

"Luna I am so sorry, she got away from me and I thought she was still with me", the lady bows to me causing me to get slightly embarrassed.

"No no it's fine really I was just getting to know her", the lady stops bowing and looks down at the girl who I'm guessing is her daughter.

I look down at the girl who still smiles up at me. I notice the girls eyes shut tight for a few moments before her head jerks to the side. I feel warm arms wrap around my waist suddenly.
