Girl Meets Riley's Hart

I drew a broken heart

Riley started singing, and I felt a wave of shivers surging through my veins. But it was a good kind of shiver.

Right on your window pane

Her eyes lit up as they did when she was being hopeful.

Waited for your reply, here in the pouring rain.

Her chocolate brown hair fell down her back in perfect waves.

Just breathe against the glass, leave me some kind of sign.

I'm looking at her, and I could think of a million reasons why I adore her so much.

I know the hurt won't pass, yeah, just tell me it's not the end of the line.

She looked up at me, and smiled too when she saw me grinning uncontrollably.

I never meant to break your heart, and I won't let this plane go down.

I could feel tears begging to spill out of my eyes, I wiped them away with the back of my hand, and grinned even harder.

I never meant to make you cry, I'll do what it takes to make this fly, oh

She was grinning so hard too. It was so beautiful how she kept smiling, and how she actually took her time to write this for me.

You've got to hold on, hold on you what you're feeling, that feeling is the best thing, the best thing alright.

It made my ice-cold heart melt.

I'm gonna place my bet on us, I know this love is heading, in the same direction, that's up.

She finished off, both of us drenched in tears.

I shifted towards her, and pulled her in for a hug. It was a 'I missed you so much' kind of hug.

"Thank you, Riley, I appreciate it" I chirped through my sob. I rested my head against her chest, and I could hear her racing heartbeat.

"It came from my heart" she chimed, "I'm sorry, I'll never leave you again"

"I love you, Riley Matthews"

"I love you too, Maya Hart"

It feels nice to be protected for once. And here I was in Riley's arms, I've never felt safer before.
