I'm getting better, I think.

Although I didn't really care. I wanted- needed Maya to be okay.

I was sitting by my bay window, looking down at my leg. It was wrapped up in a cast, and the throbbing had stopped.

Yay.

My window was drizzled with drops of rain, and I couldn't see the outside clearly.

Shawn advised that I stayed in, you know, in case someone decided to run me over again.

But why would Friar do this?

What did they hold against me?

"Riley??" Cory walked into my room, totally uninvited, because if he asked, I would've preferred if he stayed 50+ miles away from me.

"Get out" I snapped, my tone was flat, and so was my expression.

"I'm really sorry, I- I hope you know that" he said, before walking out, his shoes clicking against the floorboards.

He might be sorry, but he'll have to beg me for forgiveness.

What kind of father lies to her daughter, telling her that her mom and brother are dead?

Oh right, a horrible one.

I diverted my attention back to the blurry window, sighing as I realised that reality was slowly taking everyone away from me.

First mom and Auggie, then Lucas, then I technically lost Cory, then Shawn left, and now, Maya.

The one I needed the most.

Her life is on the line, and I can't help but think it's my fault.

It kind of is.

Out of the blue, my phone beeped, I hoped it was Maya, but my heart skipped a beat when I saw who it was.

Josh.

'So I see someone's infatuated with that dead girl Maya?'

The message read.

Joshua, he was in on this. Why?

I always thought of him as the good one, because of his misleading compassion.

The beeping went on.

'She's dying'

'It's your fault'

'You gay piece of sh** Go kill yourself'

'Everything is your fault'

'I hope you know how worthless you are'
