True love isn't easy, but it must be fought for. Because once you find it, it can never be replaced.
Jane's Point Of View:
When I got home, it was about 9pm. I walked through the front door, I was greeted by Jo and to Maura drinking a glass of wine on the couch.
"You're home late...again." she said
"Yeah. Had some paper work to finish up. Where is Sophia?" I asked wondering where my five year old daughter was.
"Sleeping." Maura said with anger in her voice.
"Okay."
"Dinner is in the fridge. Feel free to hear it up." Maura said as she put her empty glass in the sink.
"Okay."
"I'm going to bed." she said
"Okay. I will take the couch."
"Good idea." she said as she walked down the hall. I heated up dinner and gabbed a beer before taking a seat on the couch. I ate my dinner in silence, before falling asleep.
I woke up to a tapping on my shoulder. I opened my eyes to see Sophia standing in front of my holding a teddy bear. Sophia had Maura's hair color and eyes. She has my smile and well attitude and personality. She loves fashion but also sports. Right now she decided that she wanted to do ballet like me when I was her age.
"What's up baby?" I asked
"I had a bad dream." she said holding the teddy bear in front of her mouth biting the ear.
"Come here." I said as I let her fall back asleep next to me on the couch.
Maura's Point Of View:
I woke up at about 2am to get a drink of water. When I went to check on Jane, I saw Sophia asleep on Jane's chest. I grabbed the blanket off the back of the couch and put it over the their sleeping body's. I grabbed a glass of water and headed back up to bed.
I laid in bed, and started thinking on how me and Jane's relationship has really taken a turn for the worse. Don't get me wrong, I love Jane with all my heart. I just have a feeling our marriage won't last much longer. I don't want to drag Sophia threw a divorce. I know there will be custody battles, and Sophia will only see one of us on the weekends. I can't do that to her.
The next morning I woke up to my alarm clock buzzing. Rolled out of bed and went in the living room to see the couch empty. I went into Sophia's and saw her tucked away sleeping. I walked into the kitchen and saw a note on the fridge.
I went out for a run. I love you so much Maura, and I hate fighting. Lets take the day off and just spend the day together.

I quietly walked into Sophia's room and woke her up.
"Sophia sweetie we need to get up. We have to go to school." I said in a sweet voice. She slowly opened her eyes and sat up. I made her breakfast while she got ready. As she sat at the kitchen bar, Jane walked through the door.
"Hey baby." I said
"Hi sweetie." she said as she gave me a kiss on the lips.
"Are you ready for you second day of kindergarten?" Jane asked Sophia. Jane placed a soft kiss on her head before heading into the shower.
After we got ready, we got in the car and dropped Sophia off at school.
"Have a good day sweetie." I said. After Jane started to drive off, I asked her a question.
"Jane, do you love me?" she looked at me in complete shock.
"Of course I love you, Maura. I know that we are going though a tuff time right now. That is why I wanted to spend the day with you. I am literally willing to do anything so we can keep our love and marriage alive. I know it is going to take time and I am willing to wait." Jane said
"I really love you, Jane. I don't want to get a divorce." I confessed
"Wow, who said anything about a divorce?" She asked as we pulled back into our drive way.
"No one." I replied
"Okay. Then don't talk like it's all over. We will get through this."
"And what if we don't?" I started to argue.
"Hey. I love you, okay. I know you love me, we are just going through a rough patch."
"Promise you won't leave me?" I asked starting to tear up.
"Hey, I will never leave you, Maur. I love you with all my heart." she said lifting my chin up so my eyes met with hers. She gave me a long passionate kiss. In that moment, I felt like everything was going to be okay.
