I pulled up to the beacon hill house. I took a deep breath before getting out of the car. I walked up the long drive way before reaching the red door. I took another deep breath before knocking. About ten seconds the honey blonde opened the door. "Hey." I said "Hi. Sophia is getting her stuff together." She said "Okay." "Come in." She said moving out of the allowing me to step in the very familiar house. I looked around, everything is pretty much the same. A few more pictures on the wall but pretty much the same.
"Sophia! Mamma is here!" Maura yelled, then came a little Sophia running down the hall. "Mamma!" She squealed and jumped into my arms. "Hi baby." I said kissing her cheek. "Hi mamma." "Are you ready?" I asked and she simply nodded. "Go give mommy a hug." I said and let her down. "Bye mommy." Sophia said giving Maura a big hug. "I'll see you tomorrow." She said "Her recital is at 7pm, right?" I asked Maura. "Yes, but she needs to be there at 6pm for a final rehearsal, and her outfit is in her bag." She replied handing me the Frozen backpack. "Okay. Thank you. Bye." "Mhm, bye." She said closing the door behind us.
"How was your day?" I asked my six year old as I buckled her in. "It was good." She replied as I got in the driver seat. "We are gonna go out to eat with a friend of mine, is that okay?" I asked "Yeah!" She said excitedly. "Good. We will go home and get ready." "Mamma! Put on Led Zeppelin!" She said and I turned up the radio and she started bouncing in her seat.
The five minute ride back to my apartment went by fast. I grabbed Sophia's bag, and we headed inside. "Soph, I'm gonna take a quick shower, watch tv." I said putting on 'Disney Jr.' After I took a quick shower, I threw on a skin tight black dress, and black heels. I brushed my hair and teeth, then went into the living room and saw Sophia watching tv quietly. "Soph, lets get ready." I said "Okay mamma." She said hoping off the couch and skipping into her pink room. She ran to her closet and started looking through all her clothes. She picked her black and white stripped sleeveless dress that had a multi colored high-low chiffon overlay that's flowy.

She then put on her black flats. "Is it pretty?" she asked "Yes, very." I said noticing how much she looks and acts like Maura. "Are you ready to go?" I asked stroking her soft hair and she nodded her head.
When we reached the restaurant, a man held the door open. "Thank you." I said. I walked up to the receptionist. "I have a reservation." I said politely. "Name please." "Jane Rizzoli." I said and she started typing on the keyboard. "Yes, party of four?" "Yes." "Would you like a kids menu?" "Yes please." "Right this way." She said leading us to a booth. Sophia sat on the inside of the booth and started coloring on the kids menu. "Hey, sorry I'm late." I heard a voice say behind me. I turned around and saw Riley standing there. "Hey, It's okay, we just got here." I replied giving her a hug. "Sophia, this is Riley." I said as Riley sat across from us. "Hello, I'm Sophia Joy Isles-Rizzoli." she said as she shook Riley's hand. "I'm Riley." "Have you met my mommy?" Sophia asked "Sophia." I said glaring at her. "Jane, its okay. No I have not Sophia, but I will when I go to your ballet recital." I couldn't help but smile at how Sophia was so comfortable with Riley.
