Maura's Point Of View:
"Are you ready?!" I yelled as I stood by the door holding the purple pumpkin basket.
"Almost!" Jane yelled back. I stood by the door patiently waiting for Sophia, Jane, Tommy, and TJ to come down. Sophia came down holding Jane's hand.
"Look mommy!" Sophia said showing off her Elsa costume.
"You look so pretty." I said handing her, her Halloween basket.
"Look at me, Aunt Maura!" Tommy said showing off his Michelangelo Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle costume.
"You looks so tuff."
"Im tuff like aunt Jane!" He said bouncing up and down.
"Can we go trick or treating now?" She asked
"Yeah, let's go." I said and we headed down the street.
We headed to the first house, and TJ and Sophia knocked on the door.
"Trick or treat!" The said holding up there baskets.
"Oh, look at your costumes!" The middle aged lady said dropping a handful of candy into their bucket.
"Thank you!" They both said then skipped over to us.
"I think it's nice you two are putting your problems aside for Sophia." Tommy said I couldn't help but smile.
"Well, Sophia deserves it." Jane said
"Hey, you still with Riley?" Tommy asked
"Why?"
"Well, she's hot, I mean, if you don't want her--"
"Tommy!" Jane yelled smacking him on the back of his head.
"Ow!! Okay, okay." He said throwing his hands in the air.
"Mamma!" Sophia yelled as her and TJ came running over.
"What is it?" Jane asked picking her up, Tommy doing the same to TJ.
"The house is scary!" She said pointing to the next house. The house had strobe lights, eerie music playing, fog machine, and a fake graveyard.
"Okay let's go." Jane said
"No! No! I'm scared!" She said hiding her face in Jane's neck.
"It's okay, we can all go together." Tommy said. I linked my arms with Jane's, staying close. As we got closer, the music got louder. There was a decoration of a possessed girl on a swing, moving her head side to side. There was a babydoll hand.
"Turn back now. She is coming for you." The doll said in a creepy voice.
"Mamma! No!" Sophia cried.
"It's going to be okay." She said making our way to the door. There were two guys sitting in a chair, both dressed as a scary clown.
"No! Clowns!" Tommy screamed.
"It's okay, we won't hurt you." One clown said knowing they were both terrified.
"Here, take some candy." He said putting the candy into their basket.
We have been out for about an hour and a half. I could tell both kids were getting tired but they wouldn't admit it.
"Are you guys ready to head back?" Tommy asked
"Yeah, Im tired daddy." He said rubbing his eyes.
"Yeah, it's getting late. Let's head back." Jane said.
"Can you carry me?" Sophia asked holding her arms out for Jane. Jane picked her up and I carried her Halloween basket. When we finally made it home, Sophia and Tommy were both asleep.
"Thanks for inviting us, it was fun." Tommy said
"Well thanks for coming along." I said. After Tommy left, I headed upstairs where Jane was tucking Sophia into bed.
"Goodnight." She said and I quickly kissed Sophia's forehead.
Jane and I went downstairs and Jane went straight for Sophia's candy.
"Jane! Don't tell me you are going through your daughter's candy." I said placing my hands on my hips giving her a disapproving look.
"Um, no. I'm just, making sure no one poisoned it." She said dumping the candy on the counter.
"Ooo, Reese's." She said unwrapping the chocolate and bitting into it.
"Jane! That is your daughter's candy." I said taking the other half of the chocolate out of her hand.
"Maura." Jane pouted, and I put the other half in my mouth.
"She won't notice one piece missing. But no more!" I scolded putting the candy back in the basket, then putting it up. I grabbed Jane's hand and guided her upstairs.
"I have one more treat for you tonight." I said seductively into Jane's ear then kissing her neck.
"Oh yeah?" She asked running her hands up my shirt. I pushed her down on the bed and kissed down her neck, leaving my mark.
A/N: I quickly threw this together for Halloween, sorry if this sucks. I hope you guys have a safe and fun Halloween!
