A/N: I know you guys probably hate me, and I'm sorry for that. But I did warn you.
Jane's Point Of View:
I felt bad by just leaving Maura that night. It's just really hard right now. I just need my space to think this through. I love, Maura, more than anything and anyone but what she did was absolutely unforgivable. I am really trying here, to figure out a way to try and work through it. I honestly just don't know how we will get through this. A few days ago, Maura gave me my apartment back said she was gonna stay at a hotel. So now I am the one taking care of Sophia. This must be so hard on our daughter. She doesn't understand what's happening.
"Jane, why are you mad at, Maura?" Ma asked
"Ma!"
"Why don't you confide in me?"
"Fine, you want to know? Maura cheated on me."
"I can't believe she would do that. Now she is to stubborned to face you." Ma said
"No, no. I am the one who left."
"You broke up your family?"
"Ma, she cheated on me!"
"Your father cheated on me. I forgave him."
"Is that when you had, Tommy?"
"God Jane, we already had Tommy."
"Yeah and look where that got you...divorce."
"Janie, even though what she did was terrible, we took vows. You may not be able to fix things with, Maura, but you'll never know until you try." She said
"Okay. I have to get to work see you later." I said before walking to the bullpen room.
When I got to the bullpen room, Frost and Korsak where both on there computer.
"How's Dr.Isles?" Frost asked
"She is fine." I replied not really knowing the truth. I walked down to the autopsy, and saw Maura on her laptop.
"Hey." I said leaning on the door frame.
"Hi." She replied not looking up from her laptop.
"How's your leg?"
"Um it's fine. Still a little sore but fine." She replied
"Today in the car Sophia drew this. She said it was of a rainbow mermaid and a jellyfish. I'm not sure which is which, but you-you just seem upset. So when you look at the jellyfish, it will make you feel better." I said handing her the drawing our five year old made.
"Thanks." she said smiling at the picture.
I nodded my head and walked out. It was such a slow day. No case, just paper work. I started to think about what Ma was telling me this morning. Maybe she had a point, maybe I should try and work it out with, Maura. If not for us, then for Sophia. If we do try to make it work, it's gonna take a lot of regaining trust. But I really do want to make it work.
Later that night, I was tucking Sophia into bed.
"Momma, why isn't mommy coming home with us anymore?" Sophia asked
"Mommy and just need some time apart from each other."
"You guys a taking a vacation from each other?"
"Yes, baby. Now go to sleep." I said and I kissed her forehead and turned her night light on. I stood at the door frame and watched as she got comfortable and slowly fell asleep. I closed her door half way, before calling Frost.
"What's up, Jane?" Frost said over the phone.
"Can you come and watch Sophia, I need to do something?" I asked
"Yeah I will be there in about 5 minutes." He replied.
When Frost got over here, he watched TV and I headed out. I pulled up to the hotel building and walked to the front desk.
"Can you please tell me what room Maura Isles is in?" I asked the front desk lady.
"I'm sorry but that is confidential information." She replied
"I'm her wife." I said showing her my wedding ring."
"I'm sorry, she is in room 325." She replied
"Thank you." I said before getting in the elevator. I walked down the hall and searched for room 325. When I finally found it, I knocked on the door. When the door opened, i was greeted by the hazel eyes and honey blonde hair.
"Your not bringing me extra pillows." She said
"You made a mistake, one mistake. I have something to ask you, and I don't need an answer tonight but I was wondering if you would come home. Take time to think about it." I said and she just stared at me.
A/N: I know it's a short chapter but I know how anxious some of you are to see if they get back together.
